Chapter 57: Eyes that tell a story

Mercphobia: Are you as queen willing to do what ever it takes to stop Natsu?

Irene is left speechless, and in deep thought with what the mighty water dragon god had just told her. She's always agreed with everything Natsu has proposed, and even when she thinks he'll cross the line Natsu would always regain control of himself and go back to normal. Knowing that he's already taken the steps needed for full control of everything Irene very well knows this could be a possibility. The possibility of Natsu going back to how he use to be.

Mercphobia: Sorry to have brought this up to you. I see that you're in thought with what I said. I didn't mean for it to sound bad.

Irene: I know, I know you didn't.

She says looking away as the thought of fighting Natsu bothered her.

Irene: You know better then anyone how difficult it is to fight Natsu.

Mercphobia: Our fight was because his friends where in danger. A man who's family gets threaten is the most dangerous person on the planet. But a man that is pushed to his limits and relies on an unknown power is even more dangerous. I'm telling you this because you're his queen, and a friend not because I want to see Natsu get hurt or anything.

Irene: No, I know. I completely agree with you. But I'm not sure there's enough people that can take Natsu down if he looses control.

Mercphobia: Well you have the she devil and the other Etherious demons why not bring them just in case.

Irene: It would be nice but bringing the others would just cause more damage. Last time they met with Natsu, he nearly wiped them all out except for the few that were still loyal to him. But it doesn't matter I'll think of something if that does occur. Other wise I'll fight him myself.

Mercphobia looks at the scarlet haired dragon. He knows Irene is stronger then Natsu, but it's been a year a lot of things could have happened and it could be possible Natsu has become stronger then her.

Mercphobia: Very well then we'll keep in touch.

Irene: One last thing before I go.

Mercphobia: what is it?

Irene: Are you going to ask the other dragon gods for help?

Mercphobia sighs and proceeds to stand up and head to the window which over looks the town.

Mercphobia: Like I said. We know of them, and they think we're myths. I'm not afraid of our existence getting exposed. What I'm afraid of is others coming out of hiding and the cycle of war will just repeat it self over and over.

Irene: Oh...right...Thank you Mercphobia. I'll reach out to you if anything.

Mercphobia: Yes please do.

Irene summons a magic circle and gets teleported back to Kyoto to let Erza and the others know that she must leave. Back in the prison Natsu was sitting on the ground with his head tucked in between his legs waiting to be let out of solitary confinement, when the sound of heels echoed throughout the halls making his head perk up. He hears the clanking of the heels get louder and louder the closer it gets. In just a few second he sees the Queen of the gods. Hera. He just stares at her from his seated position and doesn't move a muscle. Hera on the other hand wants to say something but feels that if she does Natsu would be aggressive towards her. So she does what any woman would do in order to get a guy to talk.

Hera: Are you hungry?

Natsu looks at her confused as to why she would ask such a question. As he's about to answer her his stomach growls. Hera couldn't help but giggle. She sends the guards to get the two of them meals. After a few minutes the guards bring the food over to them along with a chair and a small table for the queen to sit on. The guards put Natsu's food on the ground and demand him to come towards the cell and get the food. But Natsu just ignores them and simply stares at them. Hera waves off the guards telling them to leave. Once they leave Hera herself begins to eat. Seeing that the food isn't poisoned Natsu gets up and gets the food taking a seat back down on the ground and begins to eat himself. Hera just looks at Natsu eating. She sees just how young he is. She remembers the day he laid his hands on her, and thinks just how strong he is to brake through her protective barrier that no one in a thousand years managed to break.
