Chapter 149: Born in the Light

Aquarius: How do you know that name?

Loke, Anna, and Aquarius where all shocked when they heard the Black Wizards name. They didn't know Natsu knew his real name. Only the Celestial Spirit King knew about it, and told Anna and the rest of the Zodiac spirits. Maki is confused as she didn't know who Zeref is.

Anna: Natsu?

She called to him. He raised his head and looked at her. She had an expression of worry, and confusion. This time she asked him how did he know who Zeref was.

Anna: How do you know Zeref?

Loke, Aquarius, and Anna all look to Natsu's right and are baffled by who appeared.

Acnologia: I was the one who told him.

All of there eyes widen seen Acnologia in spirit form. Maki on the other hand felt a presences but couldn't see what Anna and the others saw. But she knew someone was there because she could feel him.

Anna: Acno...Acnologia...

He looked towards Anna then looked at the other spirits.

Aquarius: How are you alive?

Loke: I thought Natsu killed you?

Maki just listened in and didn't say a word.

Acnologia: I was amazed too when I saw myself in spirit form. It goes to show how much Natsu has grown since he defeated me.

Anna: You knew about Zeref?

Acnologia: Yes. For a brief while I traveled with him.

Loke: You couldn't stop him then? Maybe we wouldn't be in this mess.

Acnologia: I tried to stop him but our battle ended in a draw. As I told Natsu, Zeref and I came to an agreement that neither of us would cross paths again in our journey for our own destinies, and if we did there wouldn't be any draws.

Anna: So you knew about the curse?

Acnologia: The curse, no. This was news to me as much as it was to Natsu. If this is true it would explain why the entire clan, the guild and others forgot about him.

Loke and Aquarius looked down sadden by this. Celestial sprits share bonds with there masters. So when Lucy summoned Loke to fight Natsu he felt conflicted as Lucy was feeling. When Aquarius appeared to save Natsu with Anna, she had mixed feelings seeing her master across the battlefield just like Lucy did. They know if Natsu and Lucy were to meet again a possible battle is for sure to happen.

Maki: Can I say something?

Everyone looks at her including Acnologia.

Anna: Yes

Maki: We are talking about a curse right? This curse placed on the island affects those who know Natsu, who share a deep connection to him.

Anna: That's right.

Maki: In my line of work, when ever a curse spirit curses another human, or even jujutsu sorcerers the only way to stop the curse is by breaking the curse.

Acnologia: How do you suggest we do that?

Everyone looked towards Acnologia, for some reason Maki looked in the direction where Acnologia stood.

Maki: I'm guessing who ever is there asked something?

Aquarius: He asked how do we break the curse?

Maki: There're two ways. We can cleanse the area where the curse was placed but due to how big the island is that idea won't work. Our next option is to defeat the one who placed the curse.
