Chapter 189: Black Flames

Leaving Invel and Shalltear behind. Showing them that even when someone has lost everything, that same person can still show mercy, as well as kindness. To leave them alive has come to shock the two of them. But not for E.N.D. He knew Invel had nothing to do with Lucy's injury. Just like he knew Shalltear had nothing to do with it either. Zeref is at fault here. Zeref has all the blame. He is the one who invaded the island, he is the one who gave Lucy that book and forced her to fight him. He is the one responsible for making August hurt Lucy. His real targets have been given to him on a silver platter. Now it will all come down to who will he encounter first. The Black Wizard himself, or the man known as the Wizard King.
As he is traveling Natsu spotted a nice remote location where he can get some rest for the remaining of the night. Once again it is in a near by forest but this time it isn't near any water, instead it is located near a small village. He landed a few miles away from the village where he began to smell the air around him.

E.N.D: The war hasn't passed by here. Yet..

He says to himself. Not smelling any blood, or anyone he knew, Natsu took this time to get some rest. He laid near a tree leaning on it and closed his eyes. Almost immediately he falls asleep. Inside his mind Natsu confronted himself.

Natsu: what the hell are you doing?!

E.N.D: what is it now?

Natsu: we're supposed to be going after Zeref. Why are we here?

E.N.D: calm down would you. We're sleeping here for the night.

Natsu: what?! The longer we wait the more people are going to get hurt and the more time we give Zeref to find the lumine historíe.

E.N.D: shut up can you! I already told you we are sleeping here for the night and that's final.

Natsu: what?! You're out of your mind if you think I'm going to...

Layla: Natsu please.

Natsu: Layla...what...you're still here?

Layla: I told you I'm going to remain with you until you defeat Zeref. But right now you should really listen to him.

She finishes saying then turns to look towards E.N.D. He doesn't say anything instead he looks away from Natsu.

Natsu: What's going on..?

Layla places her hand on his shoulder.

Layla: Go on tell him.

E.N.D takes in a deep breath and lets it out slowly.

E.N.D: I'm moving on Natsu.

His eyes widen when he hears this.

Natsu: what..what do you mean you're moving on?

E.N.D: I mean my time here, as a vengeful dragon, spirit what ever you want to call me, as your other half. Has come to an end.

Natsu: No...no way...you're kidding..

E.N.D: Yeah...I don't want to leave either but you've out grown me Natsu. There's no need for me to stay here, stuck inside your mind any longer. You've become stronger than me, and have adapted my powers into your own.

Natsu: But..how I'm I suppose to defeat Zeref without you..?

E.N.D: you'll beat him just like you've beaten every other threat that has come to face you. You'll win because you're strong.

Natsu: But...I..

E.N.D: Don't say you can't because you can and you will. This isn't the first time I've left you. Remember a year ago when I left and then you cried that you wanted me back.
