Dawsey: Raising a Family Part 1

Chapter 362

An Hour Later when Matt & Gabby are getting ready for bed:
Matt's POV: After having supper and hour ago (we had it pretty late), I smiled as I brushed my teeth in the bathroom while Gabby was taking a shower. Looking at her, I was tempted to join her but just stared at her through the curtain. Gabby could tell I was looking at her as she turned to look at me. "If you want to join me...you can Matt. Don't me scared to join me. We both know that you want to join me pretty bad." I nodded while looking at her, quickly walking over to her.

Moving the curtain out of the way, I went to look at her gorgeous (naked) body. That's when I decided that I was going to join her. "Help me with my boxers?" Gabby nodded when I said that before going to take them off for me. Kicking them away, I stepped into the shower with her before tugging her against my chest and going to kiss her softly. "Louie's already asleep and we are alone for the rest of the night." Gabby nodded when I said that and smiled. "That's perfect."

I smiled and nodded when she said that. "Yeah, it is...especially considering how beautiful my wife looks when she's in my arms like this." Gabby then went to wrap her arms around me and just smiled as we held each other close. Wrapping my arms around her too, I looked into her eyes and smiled at her while kissing her softly. "What do you think of the firehouse? You like it?" Gabby nodded when I asked her that. "Yeah, I do. It's really nice and it's spacious. The house we have up here is beautiful." I nodded when she said that. "I love how you decorated the place."

Gabby smiled when I said that before going to put her hands on my chest. Grabbing some soap, I felt Gabby start to wash me that night and I just smiled at her. "You know that you and Louie are always going to be my priority right?" Gabby looked up at me when I said that. "Hey, of course I do Matt." I nodded and smiled at her when she said that before going to kiss her forehead while she washed my chest. "I just wanted to mention it and reinforce the fact. I know you'll worry."

Gabby sighed when I said that. "Of course I am going to worry Matt...you are a firefighter and we both know that I can't do 3 kids without you." I nodded when she said that before going to rub her arms, trying to give her reassurance that everything will be okay. Kissing her softly, I just smiled while holding her close. "Gabby, everything is going to be okay? I am not going anywhere anytime soon and I am going to come back to you each and every night...I promise you that."

Wrapping her arms around me tighter, I could tell that Gabby was still scared as I held her in my arms. "Listen, what can I do to make you feel better? I will do whatever it takes to make you feel better and much more confident in the fact that I will always come back to you every night." Gabby looked up at me when I said that and smirked. "We can take it slow in bed." I smiled when she said that. "What type of slow? Slow with nothing but the sheets on top of us or with me wearing my boxers?" Gabby then smirked when I said that before kissing me softly. "Sheets."

I smiled when Gabby said that before going to shut off the shower. Reaching out of the shower to grab our towels, I smiled at Gabby while going to dry off with my towel. I then wrapped it around my waist before grabbing her towel. Starting to dry her off too, I smiled as I looked into her eyes the entire time. I couldn't help but admire how beautiful she was and I couldn't wait to show her just how beautiful she was in bed. This was the perfect way to end our day in bed.

Opening the shower door when we both had our towels around our bodies, I went to grab Gabby's hand and then helped her get out of the shower. Intertwining our fingers, I smiled as I turned around to look at Gabby because she looked incredible just wearing her towel. That's when we came to step close to me and put her hand on my chest. "I love you Matt and I want to just feel your hands all over my body tonight. One last night before you are Chief of 71."

I smiled when she said that. "Well, technically I am already Chief here at 71." Gabby then wrapped her arms around me before kissing her softly. "You want me in bed or not?" I then smirked and nodded as I went to grab her hand. Intertwining our fingers, I couldn't help but be happy that we were now on our way out to bed so that we could have some fun together before my first shift as Battalion Chief of Firehouse 71 tomorrow. Since the bed wasn't that far, it didn't take us long to get there. Watching Gabby lay down under the covers, I smirked at the sight.

That's when I went to get in bed with her and just laid down next to her in bed. Bringing her close to me, I went to grab her hand and intertwined our fingers while tugging the covers up. "Welcome home." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. Wrapping her arms around my waist, she went to slip her legs in between mine while I put my hand on her hip. "Promise me that you will always remember that you and Louie will always come first in my life." Gabby nodded when I said that and smiled as we took it slow with each other that night.
