"KARL"

He quickly stood up "I'll be right back, don't go anywhere" then hurried off, Sapnap sat down on his haunches and let his ears droop, he waited for what felt like hours and eventually decided to just get up and go find Karl. Sap wandered around the area but he couldn't find Karl, he only saw a few other random people, he found himself digging through a box that smelt pretty good

He sunk his teeth into a smaller box and tore it open, shaking a bunch of crackers everywhere, someone glanced over at the sound and stopped dead in their tracks when they saw the wolf messing with their supplies "Oh come one" they muttered and crouched down, slowly walking towards him

He raised the fur on the back of his neck and started hissing (Hissing? Snarling?) while tucking his tail between his legs, they still came closer so he bared his teeth and dashed forwards, causing them to stumble and fall over as he got himself out of that corner, accidentally running straight into an area where the people had a bunch of cameras, everyone turned towards him and he just froze up with his mouth partially open, eyes darting around

He spotted Karl and proceeded to half limp half run over to him, rubbing against his legs and letting out a whimper or two, Karl awkwardly looked back at his friends "Haha... isn't this weird" he laughed halfheartedly, Sap whined to get the brunette's attention, Karl crouched down and gently picked him up "What are you all looking at?" he said as he walked offset with the canine before sitting down just out of sight from the recording area "Oh geez" he muttered to himself, absentmindedly petting Sapnap "Awkward is an understatement, I could've cut the tension with a knife"

Sapnap laughed, more of a high pitched squeak to Karl but still a laugh, Karl laughed as well "Well then mister troublemaker, are you gonna go home now?" Sap looked him straight in the eyes and shook his head, Karl stared at him in shock "Wha-" Someone came over and sat down a few feet from the pair "Hey Karl, what the hell" "Hey Chris, this is..." he fell silent for a moment "My friend, we're friends"

"Karl that is a wild animal. It got into our food, you're not friends with it"

"Yes, yes I am"

Chris facepalmed "How? It's just gonna bite you, let go of it"

"Because I'm just cool" Karl shrugged "He's cool, I'm cool, we're friends"

Chris stood up and stepped over but Sap snarled at him, his fur bristling "Okay then" Chris sat back down where he originally was "See? We're cool" Karl added, Sapnap bobbed his head and settled his fur down again in agreement, laying his head down on Karl's leg as he sat on his lap. Chris threw his hands up "Whatever, just don't let it bite anyone" then walked away, Karl looked down at Sap "You wouldn't hurt a fly, would you?"

Sapnap just rolled over onto his back and wiggled his paws in the air, squeak-laughing again
