Jess's POV....

I sit in the same spot I was at last night. Adam is on his phone texting and his eyes shoot up to me every thirty seconds. I guess I'm that bored to count.

"What time is it?" I ask tapping my fingers on the table. Adam puts his phone down and glares at me.

"That's the fifth time you've asked that, why do you care about the time?" He asks suspiciously. I don't know how to answer him, I'm not sure if he would allow me to go out.

"I'm fucking starving!" I jump at the random announcement but I instantly relax seeing it is Don. He gives Adam a quick punch to the arm before sitting at the middle of the table.

"Hey Jess, did you sleep well?" Don asks and I nod my head and give him a smile. It feels nice to be asked that, I haven't heard that question sense I left Chris. I wonder if he cares if I'm sleeping well.

"As you should, you're too beautiful for bags under your eyes." He says with a smile and I watch him pour orange juice in his cup. Don is too fucking cute to be true.

Adam's POV....

I see the way Jess is staring at Don and it makes me feel.... I don't know. It's just not fair to his pregnant wife. Maybe Jess thinks he is on the market, how pathetic can she be?

"So, how is your wife and the baby in the belly?" I ask and I make sure to give a big smile. Don loves his wife to death, he always lights up when he talks about her. And I hope Jess sees that and backs off.

"God, I just can't stop missing her. Hopefully, after the job, I'll go visit her for a week and just spend time with her. She may be pregnant but dam is she fucking beautiful." He cheeses with his eyes close.

I shoot Jess a quick glance and she is now staring at his hand with the very much visible silver band. I look back at Don and chuckle. She should be more observant.

Jess's POV....

Don was so sweet to me, I actually was feeling myself when he called me beautiful. I haven't been told that here and he changed that.

I can't believe I didn't notice the ring on his finger. I turn away from his hand and look up to a smirking Adam. Of course he brought that up to be a dick.

I'm not the homewrecker type, so I'm partially glad he brought it to light. I doubt Don would even let it go far with me anyway, he obviously adores his wife.

"Breakfast is ready." I brake away from Adam's stare and focus my eyes on the blonde bitch that taped me to a fucking chair.

She goes around the table, passing me to give Adam his bowl. I couldn't see exactly what she gave him but his face scared the hell out of me. He looks disgusted.

She gives Don his bowl as well and his face matches Adam's face. She slowly made her way to me and the audacity of this bitch to have her thumb in my fucking food. She takes it out and licks her thumb before walking away.

"Stupid bitch." I whisper and Don snorts before pushing his bowl away. Adam does the same and stands up from the table.

"Let's go to that breakfast cafe." Adam says and Don nods his head and stands up as well. He walks over to Adam and pats him on the back before passing him up to leave the kitchen. I lower my head and stare at the mushy slush of oatmeal that was tainted.

"Come on Jess, you don't have to eat that shit. And she won't be handling your food anymore." I raise my head and see Adam whip out a joint from his jacket.

I quickly get up and follow him out the house. The fresh air hits me and I am temporarily blinded by the bright sun. I stop in my tracks for a second and close my eyes to enjoy this slight freedom.
