Chapter 117.

Amber's POV.

Connor has come so far in just a week. He's slowly becoming calm and trusting with the pack. He still growls at a few people, such as his father and Bète Marcus.

He's making a big change and I'm so proud of him. Tonight I want to take him somewhere, I have Alpha Conan watching the pack for me for a few days while we go on a trip. We are heading back to my home pack.

Connor is nervous to meet my father, well, meet him again. I understand his nervousness. He has nothing to worry about though, I'll be by his side every step of the way.

It's late into the evening by the time we arrive. We shift and walk up my old street by the house. Seconds later I spot my mom and dad. I rush forward and they catch me in a hug.

Once I break away from it, I go back and hold Connor's hand. " It's so good to see you guys again. " I say.

" It's so wonderful to see both of you together again. We missed you so much. " says my mother.

I grin, then I hear Connor growl in warning as my dad stepped forward. I grip Connor's hand tighter. " It's ok. He won't hurt you. " I say to Connor.

Connor seems to relax a little. " I know you don't know me, but it's good to see you Connor. Think of this pack as your own. Everyone here is friendly. " says my dad.

Connor nods and then steps forward and holds out his hand. " It's good to finally meet you sir. I may not know you, but I assure you, I will do anything in my power to keep your daughter safe. I promise you that. " says Connor.

My father grins and shakes Connor's hand. " That's all I could ever ask for. Thank you. " says my father.

" Do you have the stuff?" I ask.

My mother holds out a bag and I grin and take it from her. " Thanks. We will be back soon and we can watch a movie together. " I say.

They nod and I then pull Connor off to the side. We head into the woods and walk for a bit. Connor hasn't asked where we're going. I can feel how curious he is though.

We make it to a spot in the woods. The moonlight now shines bright on the grass and the sky was clear to see the full moon and the stars. Connor suddenly stiffened.

" This is our spot. We used to sleep together out here and I got to know you here. " I say.

He smiles. " I don't remember this pace much, but I remember you handing me a book here. " he says.

I grin and bring a blanket out of the bag. We place the blanket down and then sit on top of it. I then pull out a small container. It's contents consisted of my mom's brownies.

Connor looked at them in wonder. I opened it and gave him one. He took a bit and then hummed at the taste. " I used to sneak you these when we would meet up here at night. " I say.

He says something, only I can't understand because his mouth was full of brownies. I giggle in response and take a bite of my own.

He swallows and then repeats what he said. " These brownies are so good. I don't know how I forgot these. " he says as he takes another bite.

I laugh and he ends up laughing too. He then reaches into his pocket and hands me a small box. I look at him confused.

" I was told your birthday has passed and that I missed it. I wanted to do something special and my wolf suggested this. Happy birthday Amber. I hope you enjoy it. " he says.

I open the box and there sits a beautiful pearl necklace. " It's so beautiful. " I say.

He takes it and puts it on me. It's so gorgeous and the moonlight shines off of it. It's better then I ever imagined.

I then grab his shirt as he backs away and I pull him into a kiss. He makes a little yelp in surprise before I feel him smile. He then kisses back and it's amazing. His hand comes up to gently caress my cheeks and I hum in response to the sparks I feel.

He then breaks away and hugs me. " I may not know just how much I care for you yet Amber, but I do know that I am very devoted to you and want you to know that I will never leave your side. " says Connor.

I smile at him and hug back tightly. " That's all I ever wanted. I've missed you so much. It was torture to be away from you for so long, knowing you were in pain and that there was nothing I could do to help you. I'm so thankful to have you back. I love you so much Connor. I always will. " I say.

" I always felt like something was missing while I was gone. Turns out that something was you. I know what I'm feeling is love. I do love you Amber. I just don't know ho much yet. " says Connor.

" That's good enough for me. " I say.

With that the two of us break away and finish the brownies. We then decide to lay down on the blanket and look up at the stars. Him laying back and me laying in his arms.

We are t going to fall asleep here, but we can spend time just laying here and enjoy ourselves. Just like we used to.

I've missed this so much. I have hope now. I know things are going to be fine. Our packs with thrive and so will we.

This is all I could ever ask for. Now we can heal and Connor can start to remember. It gives me so much hope, and I know that now, everything will be ok.
