Kokichi made his way across the path of giant cards towards the floating city. As he got closer, he saw a strange fog that engulfed the city. Finally, he entered the floating platform, and the cards behind him began to drift away. He stood on a brick path that led into what looked like a park full of trees that resembled bouquets; bunnies that hopped around; doves that flew above; benches that were shaped like a pair of magic gloves that were joined at the wrist so more than one person could sit in the palms, or on the fingers which were spread out at various angles. In the center of the park was an upside-down top hat fountain with a greenish liquid shooting out of it. In the distance were the tall skyscrapers with the white roofs. Kokichi chuckled as he realized that the skyscrapers resembled magic wands. In the middle of all the skyscrapers was the tallest building, but it seemed to have some strange force field around it, which Kokichi found bizarre. He looked around at the rest of his surroundings.
"So this is what it looks like inside Himiko's brain, huh?" he muttered to himself. "But, why does it look like a city? Who would be living in here?" He looked at the spellbook he'd been holding for answers and flipped back to the part that sent him into Himiko's brain in the first place. He remembered the various-colored stick people inside of the mage's brain in the diagram. "Hmm, so these are the people living inside her brain," Kokichi mumbled, pointing at the stick figures as he read the page further. "Each person represents a specific emotion. Haha, that is so cool!" He closed the book and looked around. "I wonder where I can find them." At that moment, he heard a strange sound. It sounded like wailing. He followed the path towards the sound which led into a small bouquet forest. As the sound grew louder, he noticed one of the massive glove benches, and sitting on the bench was a girl who was sobbing with her head buried in her hands. Kokichi noticed the familiar witch's hat and ran to her.
"Himiko!" he exclaimed, but as he drew closer, he slowed his pace. The girl looked up at him in shock, her cheeks stained with tears. The girl looked exactly like Himiko, but this Himiko was different shades of blue, from her light blue skin to her dark blue hair. She wasn't even wearing Himiko's usual attire, aside from Himiko's boots; she was wearing rumpled blue pajamas as sad-looking as her face. Around her whole body was a bright blue glow.
"K-Kokichi?" the blue Himiko mumbled with confusion. At the mention of his name, Kokichi brightened.
"Haha, you know my name!" he said as he resumed walking up to her.
"Well...yeah, you're my boyfriend," the girl said, wiping her eyes. Kokichi shrugged as if it were obvious.
"Well, that does makes sense," he said. "You are a part of the real Himiko, so I guess you'd know who I am. So, little blue Himiko, why are you-" he began.
"Nyeh...actually, you can just call me Sadness," Sadness said shyly. "Since I'm the one who controls Himiko's, well...sadness." Sadness made crying motions with her hands and smiled sadly at Kokichi.
"Wooow! That's so awesome! You even 'nyeh' like her!" Kokichi exclaimed as he gave Sadness a hug. Sadness sighed softly as she rested her head on Kokichi's chest. "You're just who I'm looking for. You can make Himiko tell me what's been going on with her the past few days!" Sadness began to sob all over again.
"I...I can't!" she wailed.
"Oh...why not?" Kokichi asked.
