       "Are you sure you saw her?" Himiko asked quietly with fear in her voice. Kokichi and Himiko were hiding behind a tree with Kokichi occasionally looking around, making sure nobody was listening in.

   "Yeah," Kokichi replied. "It was brief, but I saw her peeking out at us from the window, behind the curtain." Himiko shuddered.

   "That's so creepy," she said. Then, she looked at Kokichi, her eyes wide with fear. "Maybe she was spying on us because she likes you!"

   "Stop it, Himiko! She doesn't like me!" Kokichi snapped. 

   "B-But, Kokichi, in her dream, she was kissing you, remember?" Himiko said. "I mean, Miu's dream turned out to be correct, and so did Kirumi's, so what if-"

   "Maki doesn't..." Kokichi began, then he looked around again to make sure they weren't being watched. "Maki doesn't like me, okay?!" he whispered furiously to Himiko. "What we saw in her dream wasn't real! It doesn't reflect the way she feels about me in real life! There's just no way!" Himiko looked at him as if she had seen a ghost. "Why are you looking like that?" Kokichi asked.

  "I'm...kinda scared," Himiko admitted.

   "Why, Himiko?" Kokichi sighed. 

   "Because...what if Maki tries to...tries to...k-kill me to get to you?" Himiko asked. Kokichi pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

   "Himiko...I don't think that Maki will-" he began.

   "You don't believe that!" Himiko interrupted, knowing what he was about to say. Kokichi shot her an annoyed look. "You've never trusted Maki, Kokichi, and you still don't! You know as well as I do that Maki would do anything to accomplish her goal, even if it meant killing someone! Remember when you first called her out by revealing her real talent? Then, Kaito assured us that because she's an assassin, she's hired to kill a specific type of people. But that's not the case since she's tried to kill YOU multiple times just for mouthing off to her! Nobody hired her to kill you, she just did it of her own volition! Who knows what she'll do when she's really jealous of someone?!" Kokichi remained silent, knowing that Himiko was right. Himiko suddenly began to hyperventilate as tears streamed from her eyes. Kokichi put his arms firmly on her shoulders.

   "Himiko, listen to me...calm down, okay? It's gonna be okay," he said. 

   "I can't calm down," Himiko said, grabbing the brim of her hat and pulling it down over her face. "I'm s-scared that Maki might have plans to kill me! What if I'm in my room sleeping, and then I wake up in the middle of the night to find her standing in my doorway? Maki knows how to make her kills swift, so she'd be able to take me out easily!" 

   "Okay, Himiko, what you said is true, but if Maki were planning to kill you, I don't think she'd do it in a way that would obviously point to her," Kokichi pointed out. Himiko looked around like a frightened child.

   "I wanna go somewhere far from here," Himiko said. "Can't we just run away and never come back?" she asked Kokichi.
