Kanto Gyms Arc
Pokémon are interesting creatures. They posses great powers with some being weak and some being really strong. Yet they get captured so easily by humans. Although it may sound like they hate it, as time goes on, they tend to grow and connect with the person who captured them. Some people use Pokémon as pets, some work with them to battle other Pokémon, and some research them to find out more about these creatures.
Our story starts in a small town known as "Pallet Town". It's a small town , yes, but it's a town home to many future stars. One citizen in particular was getting dressed and preparing to leave the house. "Ashton, hurry up or you're gonna be late!" A female voice yelled from downstairs. "I'm almost done!" A younger male voice yelled. These voices belonged to 15 year old Ashton and his loving mother. "Ash, you forgot your bag!" A slightly younger female voice yelled from upstairs. This voice belonged to Ashton's younger sister, Bre. "How did I forget that?!" Ashton yelled as he ran upstairs to grab it.
He grabbed his bag and ran to the door when his mother stopped him. "Before you leave, take this," she said, handing him two cold bottles of water. "Thank you Mom. Bye I love you," Ashton said, as he kissed her cheek and ran out the door. He ran down the street and saw his neighbor, Mr. Andrew, sitting on his porch.
"Hi Mr. Andrew!" Ashton yelled, waving at the old man. Mr. Andrew looked at him and waved back. Ashton kept running down the road until he saw the Professor's lab at the top of the highest hill in pallet town. "Hey Ash, wait up!" Ashton heard someone yell, heavy footsteps running towards him. He turned and saw his longtime childhood friend, Toru. "Hey man, how are you?" Ashton asked, giving Toru a fist bump." I'm doing good, Ash. Say, are you on your way to the Professor's lab too?" Toru asked.Ashton nodded. "Alright then, let's walk together," Toru said.
They made their way up the hill and decided to have a conversation. " What do you think he needs?" Ashton asked. "Isn't it obvious? He's gonna give us Pokémon!" Toru exclaimed with stars in his eyes. "Ah, I see. So it's finally time for us to become Pokémon Trainers," Ashton said." Yep, and when I get my first Pokémon, I'm gonna gonna catch lots of Pokémon and use them to become a Pokémon champion!" Toru yelled. Ashton smiled at his friends enthusiasm.
They got to the top of the hill and walked to the front door of the lab. Ashton knocked on the door. "Come inside!" They heard a voice yell from inside the lab. Ashton opened the door and the two walked inside. They were greeted by the sound of Assistants talking and keyboards clicking. "I'm back here!" They heard a voice in the back yell. They walked to the back and saw Professor Stewart sitting in his chair. "Good morning, Professor Stewart," Both the boys said. "Greetings, Ashton and Toru. Before we start, we need to wait on one more person and when they get here, I'll explain why I've called you here," Professor Stewart said.
After a couple minutes of waiting, They heard a knock on the front door of the lab. "You can come in!" Professor Stewart yelled. The door opened and someone walked to the back of the lab. "Oh hey, it's Justin. What's up man?" Ashton said, giving Justin a fist bump. "Nothing much, just here to see what the Professor needs," Justin replied." Alright , now that you're all here, I'll explain why I've called you here. Recently, I've had a talk with Your parents and they've agreed to let you three become Pokémon Trainers," Professor Stewart said, pressing a button on his desk.
Beside him, a table rose out of the ground, with three red and white colored balls on them. Toru knew what they were and got excited. "We get to pick which one we get right?" Toru asked. "Yes, but we'll decide by oldest to youngest so would the oldest of you three step forward?" Professor Stewart asked.
Justin stepped forward to the table. "Inside these Pokeballs are three different types of Pokémon. We have Charmander, the fire Pokémon. Next we have Squirtle, The Water Pokémon. Finally, we have Bulbasaur, The Grass Pokémon. Each of these Pokémon have a type advantage and disadvantage against each other. Charmander is weak to Squirtle, Squirtle is weak to Bulbasaur, and Bulbasaur is weak to Charmander. Now then, Justin, pick any Pokeball you'd like," Professor Stewart said.
