Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Two weeks have passed since our heros began their training for the Johto League and all of them have made lots of progress and all of their Pokemon have gotten stronger. Ashton woke up before everyone else and looked at the calendar. He saw the date and got really excited. "(June 1st! It's my birthday today!)" Ashton thought to himself.
He began his morning routine by Brushing his teeth, taking a shower, and getting his clothes on. Once he was done, he walked into Professor Elm's lab, where he saw the professor hard at work. "Good morning Professor!" Ashton said. "Oh, good morning Ashton. I take it you're spending another day training for the Johto League," Professor Elm said.
"Nope! Today's different! Today is my birthday, so I'm gonna go have lots of fun!" Ashton said. "Oh really now? Well, happy birthday and I hope you have lots of fun!" Professor Elm said. Ashton smiled and walked out of the lab. He walked down the street and walked to the shop. "Guess I could do some birthday shopping," Ashton said. He walked into the store and started grabbing trainer supplies and a couple snacks. He paid for his stuff at the counter and walked out of the store.
He put all his stuff in his bag and made his way down the street. He walked out of the town and to a nearby forest. He found a log and sat down on it before reaching in his bag. He started pulling out all of his PokeBalls and calling all of his Pokemon out one by one.
All of the Pokemon were happy to see their trainer. "Hey guys! It's my birthday today! I brought us here so we could all have a special lunch together!" Ashton said. All of his Pokemon cried happily. Ashton pulled a big bag of Pokemon food out and opened it. He let all of the Pokemon eat some, except for Magneton since Magneton didn't need to eat.
Ashton pulled a sandwich out of his bag and also began to eat. Once he was done, he began to pet all of his Pokemon one by one. Once he pet everyone, he called everyone back to their PokeBalls except for Blastoise. "Alright buddy, let's head back to town," Ashton said. "Blast!" Blastoise said. They walked out of the forest and made their way back to town. When they got there, they saw two faces they weren't expecting. It was Ronnie and Mike.
"Team Rocket! Are you here to steal my Pokemon!?" Ashton asked as he and Blastoise got into defensive stances. "Woah, relax kid! We're not here to fight! We just wanted to give you a gift, since we heard it's your birthday," Mike said. Ronnie walked up to Ashton and handed him a bag. "This isn't a trap or anything, is it?" Ashton asked with suspicion in his voice. "No! Really! It's just, we understand how important birthdays are, so even if you're our enemy, you deserve to have a good day today. This doesn't mean we're friends or anything or that we'll stop trying to rob you," Ronnie said.
Ashton cautiously opened the bag and saw a belt with six PokeBall holders. "Wow! This'll make holding my Pokemon way easier! Thank you!" Ashton said as he put the belt on. "That's all from us. We'll be back to rob you another day," Mike said before the two of them walked away. "That was... Very unexpected of them, but I appreciate it," Ashton said to Blastoise. "Blastoise," Blastoise said. "Anyway, let's head back to the lab. Everyone's probably waiting for us," Ashton said. Ashton and Blastoise walked down the streets and to Professor Elm's lab. They opened the door and saw the lab lights were off.
"Huh? Where is everyone?" Ashton asked. "Blastoise," Blastoise said, just as confused as it's trainer. Suddenly, the lights turned on and everyone jumped from behind a table. "Surprise!" They all yelled, firing a couple party poppers. "Woah! I didn't think it would be a surprise party!" Ashton said. He looked around and saw everyone who was at the party. Justin, Okotsu, Toru, Leaf, Professor Elm, Professor Elm, King, Misty, His Mother, and even Blue.
"Wow. So many people came to see me. Makes me feel really special," Ashton said with a smile. "Of course! You're our friend and we'll always be here to make you happy! Now come eat so we can get some cake already!" Toru said really impatiently. Ashton laughed a little bit and sat down. Ashton's mother had made lots of burgers for everyone and everyone was eating. That's when Ashton noticed one of his friends were missing. He turned to Blue, who was eating his burger.
"Hey Blue," Ashton said, getting his attention. "Yeah, what's up?" Blue asked. "I was just wondering. How come Red didn't come?" Ashton asked. "I haven't been able to get into contact with him. I've been looking everywhere for him, but I can't seem to find him," Blue said. "Oh. Well, whatever he's doing, I hope he's fine," Ashton said before getting back to eating.
Once everyone was done eating, they all grabbed their presents for Ashton. "The first one is from me, sweetie. I want you to know I'm very proud to be your mother. This gift also came from Bre and Travon as an apology for not being able to make it," Ashton's mother said before handing him his present. Ashton ripped the wrapping paper off and opened the box. Inside was a hat.

"Wow! This hat looks great! Thanks Mom!" Ashton said happily as he put the hat on. Everyone began to hand Ashton's their gifts and when all the gifts were opened, Ashton sat down on the couch. "Well, it's getting dark, so I'll see you later sweetie," Ashton's mother said as she walked out. "Hey Ash! We'll see you at the Johto League! Good bye!" King said as he and Misty walked out of the lab. Once everyone was gone, Ashton leaned on the couch. "Today's been a long day, but it was a fun day. Now I can get back to training for the Johto League," Ashton said. He closed his eyes and in seconds, fell asleep.

Note: Hey guys! I wrote this episode for Ashton since its June 1st, which is his story canonical birthday, and My birthday. Also, Toru celebrated his birthday in Kanto. Im so happy I'm able to post this episode on my birthday. One more thing to know is that the Johto Arc is coming to an end soon. It's gonna end with the Johto League, a huge movie based on the Celebi Time Travel Event in HeartGold and SoulSilver, and a huge battle at the end. The Hoenn adventures will continue in a different book.
