Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Ashton and his friends sat in the front row so they could see their friend more easily. They waited until the judge walked on stage. "Hello everyone! Welcome to the second match of the first round! For this battle, we have the trainer from Pallet Town, Toru. Battling against him is the trainer from Viridian City, Lucas!" The judge announced.
Toru grinned. "Hey Lucas! Let's have a good match, Ok?!" Toru asked. "Of course. Don't hold back too much, Toru!" Lucas shouted. Both trainers grabbed a PokeBall and threw it forward. Toru sent out a Nidoking and Lucas sent out a Pokemon that looked like Eevee, but it was blue and had gills.

"Woah! That must be the Water Evolution of Eevee. That's a Vaporeon!" Okotsu said.
"Nidoking, use Thrash!" Toru shouted. Nidoking rushed at Vaporeon and started punching and kicking it. Nidoking kicked it really hard, sending it sliding back. "Vaporeon, use Water Gun!" Lucas yelled. Vaporeon opened it's mouth and sprayed water at Nidoking. Nidoking was hit by the beam of water and slid back.
"Nidoking, use Hammer Arm!" Toru yelled. Nidoking ran at Vaporeon and lifted it's arm. Nidoking slammed it's arm into Vaporeon, damaging it a lot. "Vaporeon, use Quick Attack!" Lucas yelled. Vaporeon started running around the Battle Area at high speeds.
Vaporeon jumped at Nidoking and slammed it's head into Nidoking's stomach. "Nidoking, use Acid!" Toru said. Nidoking spit acid at Vaporeon. Vaporeon jumped left and right, dodging the attack. Vaporeon ran at Nidoking and jumped at it. "Nidoking, use Slam!" Toru yelled. "Vaporeon, Molecule Change!" Lucas said.
Nidoking tried to grab Vaporeon in mid-air, but Vaporeon turned into a puddle of water. Vaporeon jumped out of the puddle and growled at Nidoking.
"What was that?!" Ashton asked. "You didn't know? Vaporeon can change their molecular structure so that they can camouflage in water and stuff," Okotsu said.
"Vaporeon, use Water Gun again!" Lucas shouted. Vaporeon sprayed Nidoking with water. "Nidoking, use Sludge!" Toru shouted. Nidoking fired a ball of poison out of it's mouth. The Poison hit Vaporeon, damaging it a lot. "Vaporeon, use Bubble Beam!" Lucas said. Vaporeon shot a beam of bubbles at Nidoking, but it didn't do that much damage.
"Nidoking, finish it with a stomp!" Toru said. Nidoking rushed at Vaporeon and stomped on it, making it faint. Lucas called Vaporeon back to it's Pokeball and grabbed his next one. "Go Butterfree!" Lucas said. A big butterfly-like Pokemon came out.
