Episode 68: Arrival at Goldenrod City!

Our heros have finally made it to Goldenrod City and were amazed at the size of the city. "Wow! This place is huge!" Ashton exclaimed. "Yep. Apparently Goldenrod City is one of the biggest cities in the world," Justin said. They walked around some more and saw a huge building that said Department Store on the side.

"That's a big store! They must sell a lot of things," Ashton said. He looked over at Togepi, who was being held by Blastoise, and noticed something was wrong. Togepi had a tired expression on it's face and it was drooling. "Togepi, what's wrong?" Ashton asked. "Togepi," Togepi said with not much energy. "It looks tired. It's also probably hungry. You should take it to a Pokemon Center to let it rest. While you do that, me and Justin are gonna go find the gym," Okotsu said.

"That's ok with me. I'll go battle the gym when Togepi gets better," Ashton said. Ashton and Blastoise walked off and started looking around the city. "Man, I'm probably gonna get lost in this place," Ashton said to Blastoise. "Blastoise," Blastoise said in agreement.

They turned a corner and saw the Pokemon Center. "There it is! Let's go!" Ashton said as he and Blastoise walked to the Center. They walked inside and walked to the front desk. "Hey there. I'm here for treatment for my Togepi. It just recently hatched so it's too young for a PokeBall," Ashton said. "Of course. Hand it over and I'll start the treatment immediately," The nurse said. Ashton nodded and Blastoise handed Togepi to the nurse.

The nurse put Togepi on a stretcher and two Chanseys came and pushed it to the operation room. "You can wait here until we're done. It should only take us a couple minutes," The nurse said. Ashton nodded and he and Blastoise walked to the waiting room. No one was there so he decided to go to a nearby phone in the corner and call some people. He dialed Professor Elm's number and the phone began to ring.

A few seconds later, the screen turned on and Ashton could see Professor Elm's face. "Greetings Ashton. How are you and Blastoise doing?" Professor Elm asked. "We're doing great Professor Elm. We just got to Goldenrod City and I'm getting one of my Pokemon healed. Speaking of which, Professor Elm, the egg hatched!" Ashton said, surprising Professor Elm. "Really now? What type of Pokemon was inside the egg?" Professor Elm said, eager to know.

"It was a Togepi," Ashton said. "A Togepi, huh? A rare Pokemon indeed," Professor Elm said. "I also got two gym badges!" Ashton said, showing Professor Elm his two badges. "Incredible! You really are a great trainer Ashton. I'm sure youre glad to have a trainer like him, huh Blastoise," Professor Elm said. "Blast!" Blastoise said happily with a smile. "Well I should get going Professor Elm. I'm sure Togepi is done resting," Ashton said.

"Alright then. You take care Ashton and I can wait to talk to you again," Professor Elm said. Ashton smiled and hanged up the phone. He walked back to the nurses desk and saw Togepi waiting for him. "Togepi! Are you feeling better?" Ashton said. "Togepi!" Togepi said happily. Ashton picked Togepi up and hugged the small Pokemon.

"Well we should get going. We need to get to the Gym!" Ashton said, handing Togepi to Blastoise. Ashton and Blastoise walked out of the Pokemon Center and walked down the street. On his way to the Gym, Ashton noticed a familiar face walking down the street. "(Is that Bill?)" Ashton thought.

He walked up to the person and tapped their shoulder. The person turned around and Ashton's observation was correct. It was Bill. "Well! How's it going Ash?" Bill asked.

"It's going great. Why are you in the Johto Region though? You said you don't leave your house a lot because you have to take care of your Pokemon collection," Ashton asked. "Yeah, I normally don't leave the house, but my family lives here In Goldenrod City. I was just on my way to visit them. You should come along too. You can come too Blastoise," Bill said. "Sure! That sounds like fun!" Ashton said. "Blast!" Blastoise agreed.

"Right then let's get going," Bill said as he led Ashton down the street. They walked for a few minutes and eventually arrived at a house near the entrance to Goldenrod City. "Here we are! My family's house!" Bill said. He walked to the front door and knocked on the door. A couple seconds later, a woman with long brown hair opened the door. "Bill! You came to visit! How are you?" The woman asked as she hugged Bill.

"I'm doing good Mom. I came to visit since it's been a while," Bill said. Bill's mom let go of Bill and noticed Ashton and Blastoise. "Who might these three be?" Bill asked. "These are my friends from Kanto," Bill said. "Hi! My name's Ashton and this is my partner Blastoise and Togepi," Ashton introduced himself. "Well nice to meet you Ashton. Are you a Pokemon Trainer?" Bill's Mom asked. "Yep! I want to become a Pokemon Master!" Ashton said.

"That's a nice goal. Well, come inside boys. Your sister is waiting for you," Bill's Mom said. "Ok!" Bill and Ashton said as they walked in. They walked to the living room and saw a little girl playing with a doll. She looked over and saw Bill and Ashton. "Big brother!" She said as she ran and gave him a hug. "Hey Sis, how are you?" Bill asked. "I'm great! Did you bring Eevee?!" She asked. "Haha. Yep. Here you go," Bill said as he reached in his pocket and pulled out a PokeBall.

He called his Eevee out of the PokeBall, who noticed the little girl and started licking her face. "That tickles!" Bill's sister said, laughing. "Wow, you have an Eevee too?" Ashton asked. "Yep. I caught it a few years ago for my sis and it's gonna be her first Pokemon when she becomes a Pokemon Trainer," Bill said.

"I see. She kinda reminds me of my Sister. my sister left to become a Pokemon Trainer a month ago," Ashton said. Bill's Sister noticed Ashton, Blastoise, and Togepi and walked to them. "Hello! Are you my Big Brother's friend?" She asked. "Yep! My name's Ashton and these are my Pokemon Blastoise and Togepi," Ashton said. "Wow! Your Pokemon are so cute!" She said. "They are! I even have an Eevee too!" Ashton said as he reached in his bag and pulled out a PokeBall. He called Eevee out and rubbed it's head. "Eevee!" Eevee said happily.

"Wow! Your Eevee is so cute!" Bill's Sister said. "Thank you! It's also really strong!" Ashton said with a smile. "Eevee Eve Eevee!" Eevee said happily. Bill noticed a black stripe on the back of Eevee's neck. "Hey Ashton. Your Eevee is gonna evolve soon," Bill said. "Huh? How do you know?" Ashton asked. "That stripe on the back of it's neck. It's gonna evolve into an Umbreon soon," Bill said.

"Really? That's great Eevee!" Ashton said. "Eevee!" Eevee said. "I'll help you evolve it if you want," Bill said. "You will? Awesome let's do it!" Ashton said, picking Eevee up. "Big Brother, you're leaving already?" Bill's sister asked. "Yep, but I'll be back later, I promise," Bill said, rubbing his head. "Right! See you later Big Brother!" She said. Bill, Ashton, Blastoise, Eevee, And Togepi walked out of the house and into the backyard. They were ready to begin Eevee's Training.
