"So much water. Maybe I can catch some Water Type Pokémon," Justin said. "We don't have a rod to fish with," Ashton said. They looked at the sea until they got bored. "How much longer until we get to One Island?" Ashton asked Bill. "About two hours. If you're bored, play a game or something," Bill said.
Ashton tried to think of a game, but couldn't. Eventually, he leaned back and took a nap. When he woke up, they were still at sea. "Hey sleepyhead, you're finally awake," Justin said. Ashton leaned forward and stretched. "How much longer until we reach the island now?" Ashton asked. "It should take ten minutes. You can see the island from here," Justin said, pointing to the front of the boat. In the distance was the island.
The boat hit a rock, causing the boat to jump and Ashton to fly off and land in the water. Bill turned the boat around and Justin helped Ashton back into the boat. "I swear a boat is gonna be what kills me," Ashton said.
They kept driving and eventually reached the island. They got off the boat at the docks and Bill docked the boat. They walked up the island until they reached a town. "Look for the Pokémon Center. That's where the power generator for the Cinnabar Island Pokémon Center is," Bill said. The three walked around until they saw the Pokémon Center.
They walked to it and walked inside. Bill walked to a corner that had a giant electrical box in it. He opened the box and looked inside. Inside was a bunch of wires connecting to each other. Bill saw what was wrong and had an unamused look on his face. "What's wrong with it?" Ashton asked.
"The main power wire wasn't plugged in," Bill said. He grabbed the wire and plugged it in. He closed the box and turned to Ashton and Justin. "There we go. It's all fixed," Bill said.
Ashton pulled out his Pokédex and saw he had a message from Toru. He read it and sighed a sigh of relief. "Wartortle is getting treated now," Ashton said. "That's good to hear," Justin said.
"Well guys, I have a little more business to attend to and then we'll be leaving the island and heading back to Cinnabar Island. We'll leave in an hour and a half. You can go explore or just relax here," Bill said, turning and leaving the Pokémon Center.
"Well Justin, what do you wanna do?" Ashton asked. "I'm gonna go explore and find some Pokémon," Justin said. Ashton nodded and the two trainers walked out of the Pokémon Center. They walked to the exit to the town and walked to the field.
That's when Ashton noticed something. In the distance was a huge mountain. For a second, Ashton saw something land on top of the mountain. It looked like it was on fire.
"Justin, did you see that?" Ashton asked, pointing at the top of the mountain. Justin shook his head. "Let's go check it out then!" Ashton exclaimed. Justin nodded and the two trainers started running towards the mountain. Eventually, they reached the base of the mountain and started walking up it. "What do you think it was, Ash?" Justin asked.
"I think it was a meteor. If not, then it's definitely a Pokémon," Ashton said. They kept walking until they reached an entrance to inside the mountain. "It'll probably take us to the top of the mountain. Let's go inside," Justin said. They walked inside and started continuing down the path. They turned and saw a small Pokémon holding a bone. It had a skull on its head, wearing it like a mask.
