Two months have passed since our heros began their training for the Johto League. All of them have gotten much stronger and many of their Pokemon have evolved. Everyone was waiting at the exit of New Bark Town and we're waiting on one person. "Where's Ash?" Toru asked. "I don't know. He said he forgot something and rushed back to the lab," Justin said.
Ashton and Blastoise came running out of the lab and to his friends. "Sorry guys! I forgot the locket my mom gave me," Ashton said as he hung it around his neck. "Alright, now that everyone is here, let's get going," Okotsu said. Everyone walked out of the New Bark Town and made their way down the road. "So, where is the Johto League taking place?" Ashton asked. "It's taking place in the middle of Johto and Kanto, near Mount Silver," Leaf said.
They walked down the Johto Road and reached a turn which led to a different path. They walked down the road for thirty minutes before finally arriving at a huge stadium. "Here we are! The place where the Johto League is taking place!" Ashton said. They all walked to the building and through the front doors. They walked inside and to the front desk. "Hello there! Are you here to watch the battles or compete in them?" The lady at the front desk asked. "We're here to compete!" Ashton and Toru said at the same time with determination in their voices. "I see. Can you show me all your Gym Badges and your Trainer ID's?" The lady asked. Each trainer took turns showing her their Gym Badges and Trainer ID's. She signed all of them up for the tournament.
"Oh yeah, someone reserved special seats for you. They're a really big deal," The lady said. "Really? Who was it?" Justin asked. "She's talking about me. Hope you guys like the seats," They all heard someone say. They turned and saw King and Misty walking towards them. "King! You came to see the tournament!" Ashton said happily. "Pika!" King's Pikachu exclaimed happily as it jumped up and hugged Ashton and Blastoise. "Blast!" Blastoise said happily. "It's nice to see you too Pikachu!" Ashton said as he rubbed Pikachu's head. Okotsu reached in his bag and gave some Pokemon food to Pikachu, who accepted it and ate it happily.
"Ok guys, let's hurry! They're about to give an announcement about the tournament," Misty said. King led everyone to the stadium, which was packed full of people from the Kanto and Johto Region. King brought them to their seats, which were high above everyone else's seats. A minute passed and an announcer walked onto the arena. "Hey, that's the guy who was announcing stuff at the Kanto League Tournament," Okotsu said.
"Greetings everyone! Welcome to the Johto League! Today we will have many competitors battle for the chance to become the Johto Champion! Before we start, we must first explain the rules and how some things will work," The announcer said.
"First things first, we won't have exhibition matches. Instead, every trainer will battle against the Johto Elite Four! You four, come out!" The Judge said. A couple seconds later, four trainers walked into the arena and to the judge. The first one was a woman who had red hair and glasses and a black suit.
The second was a really buff man who was lacking a shirt. He was also wearing a ripped dojo outfit.
The next member was an old woman who wore a purple dress. The last member was a man with red hair and a dragon tamer outfit and cape.
"These are the Elite four! We have Lorelei, the Ice Type Master! Next we have Bruno, the Master of Fighting Types! Next is the Ghost Type Master, Agatha! Finally, we have the Dragon Tamer, Lance! Once every trainer has had a chance to battle the Elite Four, the ones who beat them will compete in the Tournament. We don't have a champion, so the winner of the league will become the champion!" The judge said.
"Johto doesn't have a champion?" Ashton asked King. "Yeah. They had a champion before, but apparently he retired due to old age," King said. "Now then, we will begin sending trainers one by one to face members of the Elite Four in a separate building. Good luck to everyone and do your best!" The judge said as he and the Elite Four left the arena. Ashton and his friends stood up and left the stadium.
They walked to the lobby, where every who was competing had went. All the screens turned on and the first name popped up. "This is gonna take a while. I'm gonna go sit down. Let's go Blastoise," Ashton said. He and Blastoise walked to a nearby bench and sat down. He waited patiently for all the trainers to battle the Elite Four, before leaning on Blastoise and falling asleep. Blastoise stayed awake and watched the screen while Ashton took a nap.
Once Ashton's name appeared on the screen, Blastoise sprayed Ashton's face with water, waking the trainer up. "Huh? Is it my turn already?" Ashton asked. "Blast!" Blastoise said. "Alright! Let's go Blastoise!" Ashton exclaimed as he jumped up. He and Blastoise walked to the door where the first Elite Four member was waiting. Ashton took a deep breath and walked through the door.
