Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
After getting some food from a nearby restaurant and grabbing some supplies from a store, Ashton walked near the gym and waited for his friends.
After ten minutes of waiting, his friends all walked out. "Hey guys! How'd your battles go?" Ashton asked. " They went great. We all got our badges," Justin said as the three trainers showed their badges. "Yeah! My Geodude even evolved twice. Not in the same battle, it evolved into a Graveler at the Safari Zone and evolved into a Golem at the Gym," King said with a smile on his face.
"I think we're all ready for the next gym. Where is it anyway?" Okotsu asked. Ashton pulled out his Pokedex and looked at the map. "It says our next gym is located at Cinnabar Island," Ashton said.
"Cinnabar Island? We might have to travel there on boat," Justin said. "By boat? Let's hope what happened last time I was on a boat doesn't happen again," Ashton said, remembering when he fell overboard on the S.S Anne. "Don't worry, I'm sure it won't happen again. If it does, I'll save you," King said.
"Anyway, there should be a boat that takes trainers to the island," Justin said. "Alright then, let's go," Okotsu said. The four trainers started walking to the dock. "Hey guys!" They heard someone call out to them. "It was Toru, followed by Red, Blue, and Leaf.
"Hey! Are you guys on your way to Cinnabar Island too?" Ashton asked. Toru nodded. Ashton looked at Blue. "I thought you were on your way to Cinnabar already?" Ashton asked Blue.
"I was already there, but then I heard a legendary Pokemon was spotted near there. Have you heard of the Legendary Birds?" Blue asked. Ashton shook his head.
"They're three really powerful Pokemon named Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres," Toru said, flipping open his Pokedex and showing their pictures to Ashton.
