Episode 50: Ashton Vs King!

(50 Episodes! Can't believe I've committed to this for that long!)

Ashton walked to the Indigo Plateau building and saw his mom waiting for him. "Hi Mom!" Ashton exclaimed, walking to her. "Hi sweetie! Good job on your match!" She said, pulling him into a hug. "Thanks Mom. It was really challenging, that's for sure," Ashton said.

She let go of him and grabbed something from her pocket. She handed him a locket with a picture of her, Ashton, Bre, and Travon inside. "It's to remind you that no matter what happens, your family will always support you," She said.

A small tear fell down Ashton's face. He pulled his mom into another hug. She smiled and hugged back. Ashton let go and wiped the tear out of his eye. "Thanks Mom. Thanks for the encouragement," Ashton said. He tied the locket around his neck. He also untied Misty's shell necklace and tied it around his neck. He put it under the locket. "Right, well I should get going, Mom. My match against King is starting soon," Ashton said. His mother nodded and kissed his forehead and then made her way to the stands.

Ashton turned and started walking to the stadium. He got to the gate and walked through it. Once he was at the stadium, he walked to the Battle Area and saw King and the judge waiting for him. He faced King and the two trainers grinned. "Hey Ash! Ready for our match?" King asked. "I'm excited. I know you won't go down easily!" Ashton said.

"I don't plan on going down at all!" King said. Ashton grinned at his friend's confidence. "Hey Ash, come here real quick. Let's make a promise!" King said. Ashton was confused and walked to King. King whispered something in his ear. Ashton nodded and walked back to his spot.

"What did he promise?" The judge asked. "It's a secret for after the match," Ashton said. "Ooh, a secret! Exciting! Anyway, let's get this match underway! Both trainers send out your Pokemon and let's begin the match!" The judge said.

"(King is super strong, so I'll have to use my strongest Pokemon if I want to beat him!)" Ashton thought. He and King both grabbed a PokeBall and threw it forward. " Go Haunter!" Ashton shouted. "Go Clefable!" King shouted.

Haunter and Clefable came out and glared at each other. "Haunter, use Shadow Ball!" Ashton shouted. Haunter made a ball of dark energy and threw it at Clefable. "Clefable, dodge and use Focus Blast!" King shouted. Clefable jumped into the air, dodging the Shadow Ball and started charging a beam of energy. It shot it at Haunter. "Dodge and use Shadow Punch!" Ashton shouted.

Haunter dodged the focus blast and flew at Clefable. It covered it's fist in a dark aura and punched Clefable in the face. Clefable jumped back in front of King. "Clefable, use your Metronome Attack!" King shouted. Clefable concentrated and suddenly shot a beam of light at Haunter. The attack hit, sending Haunter flying back. It landed in front of Ashton.

"Haunter, use Dark Pulse!" Ashton shouted. Haunter charged a beam of dark energy and shot it at Clefable. Clefable couldn't dodge and was hit by the attack. "Clefable, use Hidden Power!" King shouted. Clefable made a ball of white energy and threw it at Haunter. "Haunter, throw it back!" Ashton said.

Haunter covered it's fist in dark energy and caught the attack. Haunter threw it at Clefable, damaging it. Clefable went tumbling back and stopped in front of King. "Clefable, use Focus Blast again!" King said. Clefable jumped into the air and charged a beam of energy. It shot it at Haunter again. "Haunter, dodge again and use Sucker Punch!" Ashton said. Haunter flew out of the way and at Clefable.

Haunter winded it's fist back and punched Clefable hard, sending it crashing into the ground. "Clefable, are you ok?" King asked. Clefable tried to get up, but couldn't and fainted from exhaustion. King called it back to it's Pokeball. "Rough start, but that doesn't mean things are over! Let's go Golem!" King shouted.
