Episode 86: Entei Appears

Ashton and Blastoise were walking down the road that they had been traveling on throughout their entire adventure in Johto. They passed by Mahogany Town, Olivine City, Ecruteak City, Goldenrod City, and Azalea Town. They were almost at Violet City when they looked at a nearby field and saw a Pokemon in trouble.

It was a Totodile, who was being surrounded by a bunch of angry Victreebel. "We gotta save it!" Ashton said. Blastoise nodded and the two of them ran to the field. "Leave it alone!" Ashton shouted, catching all of their attentions. The Victreebel looked over and all of them sprouted a vine. They shot them at Ashton and Blastoise and wrapped them around their arms and legs, immobilizing them.

"Well, I can say I wasn't expecting that," Ashton said to Blastoise. The Victreebel started pulling, which was hurting Ashton and Blastoise. Ashton groaned in pain and Blastoise tried to pull out of the vines. Totodile bite one of the Victreebel, trying to make it let go, but the Victreebel didn't even seem to notice.

"(What do I do? At this point, they're gonna rip me and Blastoise in half!)" Ashton thought in panic. He struggled hard and suddenly, a blast of flames flew past them, causing the Victreebel to be frightened. They let go of Ashton and Blastoise and rushed away. Ashton rubbed his head and helped Blastoise up. "Where do you think the flame came from?" Ashton asked Blastoise. The Totodile ran up to Ashton and was about to speak when a figure jumped out of a nearby bush.

Ashton was able to see who the figure was and was shocked. It was one of the legendary Dogs, Entei! "Woah! I didn't think we would meet again!" Ashton exclaimed. Blastoise and Totodile were shocked to see a legendary Pokemon appear in front of them. Entei just barked happily.

Suddenly, an idea came to Ashton's head. "Say Entei, let's have a battle! If I win, you gotta let me catch you! If you win, I'll let you go!" Ashton suggested. Entei barked happily at the idea of a battle. "Awesome! So Blastoise, wanna battle for me?" Ashton asked. "Blast!" Blastoise said.

"Then let's do this!" Ashton exclaimed. Blastoise walked forward and Entei jumped back and the battle began. "Ok Blastoise, let's start this off with a Water Pulse attack!" Ashton called out. Blastoise shot ring shaped beams of water out of it's cannon, which flew towards Entei. Entei jumped into the air, dodging the water attack, and shot a huge burst of flames out of it's mouth at Blastoise. "Blastoise, dodge quickly!" Ashton said.

Blastoise jumped back, dodging the attack. "Good! Now use Aqua Punch!" Ashton said. Blastoise covered it's fist in water and rushed at Entei. Blastoise threw a punch and managed to punch Entei in the face. Blastoise jumped back to get some distance. Entei covered it's body in a huge fiery aura and rushed at Blastoise. Blastoise crossed it's arms to block the attack, but Entei jumped over Blastoise and slammed it's body into Blastoise's shell, sending the Water Type Pokemon tumbling forwards.

"Blastoise, use Surf to get some speed and use Skull Bash!" Ashton said. Blastoise shot water at the ground, making it water. Blastoise slid towards Entei quickly and slammed it's head into Entei's face, sending the legendary Pokemon sliding back. "Now use Hydro Pump!" Ashton said. Blastoise charged a huge beam of water and shot it at Entei. Entei jumped to the side and ran at Blastoise extremely fast. It covered it's head in flames and slammed it's head into Blastoise's chest, making it stumble backwards.

Entei jumped above Blastoise and used it's legs to slam Blastoise onto the ground. Entei jumped off of Blastoise and shot a huge blast of flames at Blastoise. The flames hit Blastoise, damaging it a lot. "Blastoise, are you okay buddy?" Ashton asked. Blastoise got up and nodded. "Good! Use Water Gun!" Ashton said. Blastoise fired a beam of water at Entei, making it slide back.

Totodile was watching the battle and was amazed at how Ashton and Blastoise were able to hold their own against a legendary Pokemon. "Totodile," it said quietly in astonishment.

"Blastoise, jump into the air and use Aqua Punch!" Ashton said. Blastoise nodded and jumped high into the air. It covered it's fist in water and fell towards Entei. Blastoise landed in front of it and threw it's punch, sending Entei tumbling back. Ashton was about to throw an Ultra Ball, but Entei got back up. It barked with determination. "Still not done? You're amazing Entei! Alright Blastoise, use Scald!" Ashton said.

Blastoise charged a beam of boiling water and fired it at Entei. Entei jumped to the side and set it's feet on fire. It ran really fast at Blastoise and slammed it's head into Blastoise's stomach. Blastoise grabbed Entei and threw it, making Entei land on its side.

"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" Ashton shouted. Blastoise charged a beam of water in it's cannon and fired it at Entei. The beam of water hit Entei, damaging it and making it fall on its side. Ashton used this chance to throw his Ultra Ball at Entei. The ball absorbed Entei and shook three times before glowing green. A huge grin appeared on Ashton's face. "Awesome! I caught Entei!" Ashton exclaimed. "Blast," Blastoise said happily before falling on it's back.

"Oh, you must be tired! I got some water for you buddy!" Ashton said. He walked up to Blastoise and pulled a bottle of water out of his bag. He opened it and poured it onto Blastoise. Totodile walked up to Ashton with admiration in it's eyes. "Toto! Totodile!" It said in amazement. "Oh, were you Impressed by me and Blastoise's battle?" Ashton asked. Totodile nodded. "Can't blame you there. Hey, do you wanna come along with me?" Ashton asked.

Totodile thought for a bit before nodding. "Alright then. Welcome to the team," Ashton said. He grabbed an empty PokeBall and tapped Totodile's head. The ball absorbed Totodile and shook three times before glowing green. Blastoise caught it's breath for a bit.

"Alright, let's go Blastoise," Ashton said. Blastoise got off the ground and the two of them continued their way to Violet City. "(I can't believe I managed to catch Entei. I'm one step closer to becoming a powerful Pokemon Master!)" Ashton thought as he and Blastoise continued to Violet City.
