Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Our heros finally arrived to the mainland and the captain docked the ship at the port near Pallet Town. "Thanks for the ride again," Ashton said. "Yeah, we really appreciate it," Justin said. The trainers and Ronnie and Mike got off the boat. "You lads and lasses have a good night," The captain said as he sailed off in his ship.
"Well brats. We wont attack you for now as a thank you for the ride, but next time we see you, were stealing your Pokemon," Ronnie said. "Right. Let's go Ronnie," Mike said. Ronnie and Mike started walking down the path leading to Viridian City.
"Ok guys, let's go to Pallet Town!" Ashton said. The trainers started walking down the road to Pallet Town and after a couple minutes, arrived at Pallet Town. "Finally home. I'm heading home guys," Justin said. He started walking to his house. "Same here. Bye guys," Toru said as he also walked to his house. "I'm heading to Viridian City. Bye guys," King said. He walked out of Pallet Town and down the road heading towards Viridian City. "Wait up King! Bye guys!" Misty said as she ran after King.
"Bye guys," Leaf said as she walked home. Now it was Ashton and Okotsu. "Well Okotsu, wanna come sleep at my house. You must be super tired," Ashton offered. "Sure. I hope your mom is cooking. Her food is super good!" Okotsu said. The two boys started walking to Ashton's house. They got to Ashton's from door and knocked gently. A couple seconds later, Ashton's mom opened the door.
"Hi Sweetie! Hi Okotsu!" She said, hugging Ashton. "Hi Mom! We're here to stay the night," Ashton said. "Of course. Come inside. I was just about to make dinner," She said. The three of them walked inside and Ashton and Okotsu sat on the couch.
"I'm gonna go take a shower. I'll be done before dinner," Ashton said. He handed Okotsu the TV remote and walked upstairs to the bathroom. He took all his clothes off and got in the shower. Once he was done, he brushed his teeth, combed his hair, and put his clothes back on.
He walked downstairs and saw his mom was fixing the food. He sat at the table next to Okotsu as his mom fixed their plates. Once she was done, she sat down and they all started eating. "Wow! Your food is as good as ever!" Okotsu said as he started eating faster. "I know it's good, but please slow down," she said with a sweat drop on her forehead.
"So, how was your day? Where did you guys go?" Ashton's mom asked. Ashton decided to tell her everything that happened, the party, Mewtwo, Team Rocket's attack, and even Toru catching Mewtwo. He left out the part about him dying as not to scare his mom.
"Wow! Toru really caught a Pokemon like that?" She asked. "Yeah! Mewtwo let him catch it!" Ashton said. " It really surprised everyone," Okotsu said. The boys finished their plates and put their dishes in the sink. "I'm going to sleep Mom. I'll do the dishes in the morning and then we're heading for the Johto Region," Ashton said.
"It's fine. I'll do the dishes. You go get some rest for your journey tomorrow," She said. She kissed him on his forehead and Ashton went to his room while Okotsu slept on the couch. She washed the dishes and when she finished, she walked outside and to the store. "( If Ashton wants to go to the Johto Region, then he should have the necessary supplies!)" She thought as she walked in the store.
She grabbed a bunch of stuff for Ashton, paid for them, and walked home. She walked inside and to her room. She put the supplies in the corner of her room and went to sleep.
The next morning, Ashton woke up and started getting ready. He was about to change into his clothes when his mom knocked on his door. "Hey Sweetie! Are you awake?" She asked. "Yeah! I'm getting to leave now!" He said. "Ok! I have something for you!" She said. She opened the door and put the bag of stuff she got last night in his room.
He walked to the bag and looked inside. Inside were PokeBalls, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and different types of medicine. The most noticable thing in the bag were a pair of clothes. "New clothes, huh? Let's see how they look," Ashton said. He put the new outfit on and looked in a mirror. "Hey, they don't look that bad," Ashton said.

He grabbed his old clothes and put them in his bag and ran downstairs. Okotsu was packing his bag on the couch. He looked up and noticed Ashton's new outfit. "Nice clothes dude. You look ready for the Johto Region," Okotsu said. "Thanks! I'm super excited!" Ashton said. Okotsu finished packing his bag and walked to the front door.
"Mom! We're leaving!" Ashton called out. His mom walked downstairs and hugged Ashton. "You have fun on your journey in the Johto Region, honey. Be safe, ok," She said. "Of course mom. Bye I love you," Ashton said. He turned and him and Okotsu walked out of the house. They got to the Pallet Town exit and saw Justin waiting for them. "Hey Justin! You ready to go?" Ashton asked. "Yep! Are we going to get King?" Justin asked.
"Yep! Once we get King, we're heading for the Johto Region!" Ashton said with a grin on his face. "Right. Let's get going then," Justin said.
The trainers walked out of Pallet Town and down the path to Viridian City. Eventually, they got there and saw King waiting for them. "Hey King! We're leaving for the Johto Region! Are you ready to go?" Ashton asked.
King had a sad look on his face. "Sorry guys, but I'm not going with you," King said. The three boys were shocked. " You're not?!" Okotsu asked. King sadly nodded. "Yeah. I'd really like to go, but I'm not ready to leave Kanto yet. Plus, the Kanto League needs me to stay here for a while, so I couldn't go even if I wanted to," King said. He had a devastated look on his face.
"It's fine King. We understand," Ashton said. "Yeah man. Kanto is your home and if you wanna stay, we'll respect that," Justin said. "Yeah. Were your friends. Nothing will ever change that," Okotsu said. Tears started streaming from King's eyes.
He walked up to his friends and hugged them. They all smiled and hugged back. "It's an honor to be hugged by the Kanto Champion himself," Ashton said. King chuckled a little and let go of his friends. "One more thing! Here!" King said. He took Ashton's hat off his head and handed it to him, but Ashton didn't accept it.
"It's yours now King. It's a goodbye gift. I have something for you," Ashton said. He opened his bag and handed King his old clothes. "Your outfit? I can have this?" King asked. Ashton nodded.
"Originally, I called these my champion clothes because I wanted to become a champion wearing them, but you became the Champion so now they're yours," Ashton said. King smiled and accepted the clothes. "Thanks Ash. I'll go put them on right now," King said. He gestured for Ashton, Justin, and Okotsu to follow him to his house. King ran inside while the others waited for him outside.
A couple minutes later, King walked outside wearing Ashton's clothes. "How do I look?" King asked. "You look good dude," Ashton said.
"Well we should get going. We'll see you later King," Ashton said.
"Right! I guess this is goodbye then. Goodbye Ash. I'm glad I met you. You were kinda like my best friend. Goodbye Justin. I'm gonna miss your wise advice and teasing. Goodbye Okotsu, it was nice having someone who had the same interest as me. Thanks for all the grooming tips," King said.
His friends smiled and gave him one more hug. "Goodbye King. Maybe one day we'll all travel together again," Ashton said. They all let go of each other and walked to the path towards the road to the Johto Road. "Bye guys! I hope we meet again one day!" King shouted, waving at his friends. "Bye King! Good bye!" The boys shouted, waving to their friend. They walked down the path and headed for the road that would lead them to the Johto Region.
Saying goodbye is hard, especially when youve come to know them for a long time. Although our heros have to say goodbye to King, they look back, thinking of all the good times, and look forward hoping to make even more memories.
