Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
It was morning time and Ashton was still asleep. The nurse cracked the door open to check on him. She walked up to him and shook him awake. "Excuse me, it's time to wake up," She said. Ashton opened his eyes and sat up. "Right, thank you," Ashton said as he got up. The nurse left the room and Ashton started getting ready for the day. He took his clothes off and put them in the washer. He brushed his teeth and got in the shower.
Once he was done, he got out and put his clothes in the dryer while he combed his hair and organized his bag. Once his clothes were done drying, he ironed them and put them on. He grabbed his hat off the nightstand and put that on as well and then walked out of the room. "Thanks for letting me stay the night!" He yelled to the nurse as he ran out of the Pokemon center. The nurse chuckled at this.
Ashton ran down the street, looking for the gym. The street was filled with people and Pokemon cleaning up the streets and getting rid of the booths from last night. He saw the gym in the distance and also saw his friends waiting by it. "Good morning guys! I'm here to battle the gym," Ashton said. "Good morning. We're here to watch your battle," Okotsu said. Ashton nodded and pushed the door open.
He walked inside. When they walked inside, Ashton was hit with the smell of flowers and saw lots of girls watering the flowers. "Excuse me, are you here to challenge the gym?" Ashton heard a woman ask. He turned and saw a woman with short black hair and green and red kimono.

"Yes, I am. Do you know where the gym leader is?" Ashton asked. "Ash, that is the gym leader," King said. "Your friend is correct. I am the gym leader. My name is Erika," Erika said. "Oh. Well I'm ready to battle and win your badge!" Ashton said with a confident grin. Erika smiled and lead him to the battle field. Justin, King, and Okotsu walked to the side where they could watch the battle.
"Before we start, don't you agree that the weather is so beautiful today?" Erika asked. "Yeah, it's so sunny today. Makes it perfect for the battle we're about to have," Ashton said. Erika smiled. "How many Pokemon will you be using?" Erika asked. Ashton thought for a second. Then he decided. "I'll be using three," Ashton said.
Erika nodded and threw her first PokeBall forward. A Pokemon made of blue vines and red feet came out.
