Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Halfway across Johto, at the dock in Olivine City, Okotsu was talking to Captain John. "So you need me to take you to the Whirl Islands? Very well then lad. Hop on aboard," Captain John said. "Thanks!" Okotsu said. He got on the ship and the captain began to sail away from the docks.
"It'll take some time to get there, so try to make yourself comfortable, lad," Captain John said. Okotsu nodded and sat down in a chair. He began to think to himself. "(I wonder what could be so important that the Kimono Girls would send us all across Johto for.)" Okotsu thought. He looked into the sky. "(I hope it's worth it. I really miss my friends.)" Okotsu thought.
They sailed for twenty more minutes before an island came into view. "There it is! Whirl Island!" Captain John said. Okotsu looked ahead and saw the island in the distance. He stood up and waited for Captain John to dock the ship. Captain John threw the ship's anchor over board. "Alright Kid, the ship's docked. Go do your business on the island. I'll wait for ya here," Captain John said. "Right! See you in a bit!" Okotsu said.
He got off the boat and ran towards the center of the island. Once he got there, he saw some Kimono Girls waiting for him at a cave entrance. "Hang on, I saw all of you go with Ash. How did you get here?" Okotsu asked. "There's not only five Kimono Girls, ya know? Anyway, now that you're here, it's time to summon Lugia," one of the Kimono Girls said. "Hang on, Lugia? You mean the Legendary Bird Lugia?!" Okotsu asked in shock.
"Yep! We've seen how strong you are, so we want to see if Lugia would accept you as it's trainer," The Kimono Girl said. "Now follow us into the cave so that we can summon Lugia," Another Kimono Girl said. They all walked down into the cave and went down a slope. Once they got to the bottom of the cave, they walked for a minute before they got to a huge lake. "How is there a lake underground?" Okotsu asked, but none of the Kimono Girls answered him.
They all formed a line and began to do synchronized dances. "(Is this how they summon Lugia?)" Okotsu thought. They finished their dance and suddenly, something swam through the lake quickly. "Hold on, is that-?" Okotsu was about to ask before something huge flew out of the water. Okotsu heard a flapping noise and looked up. He was greeted by the sight of the legendary Bird, Lugia.

"Lugia actually appeared! This is amazing!" Okotsu exclaimed. Lugia flew down towards Okotsu and stared at him hard. "Um, hello Lugia. We summoned you because we know that you would only accept a strong trainer. So I was hoping I was strong enough to make you my Pokemon," Okotsu said with a smile. Lugia closed it's eyes and a pink aura surrounded it and Okotsu's head.
"Huh? What's it doing?" Okotsu asked the Kimono Girls. "Maybe it's checking to see if you're a good trainer," One of the Kimono Girls said. The aura disappeared and Lugia smiled at Okotsu. "So, does this mean you'll come with me?" Okotsu asked. Lugia smiled and nodded. "Awesome! Welcome to the team Lugia!" Okotsu said, pulling out an Ultra Ball. He tapped Lugia's head with it and it absorbed the Flying-Psychic Type Pokemon.
The Ultra Ball shook three times before glowing green. Okotsu smiled and put Lugia's Ultra Ball in his bag. "Now that I caught Lugia, let's head back to the Johto Mainland. I wanna go catch up with my friends!" Okotsu said. The Kimono Girls nodded and they all walked out of the cave. They got to the service and the Kimono Girls got in their own boat. "We'll see you again someday! Goodbye!" The Kimono Girls said. They sailed off and all waved at Okotsu.
Okotsu waved back and made his way to where Captain John's ship was. He got there and saw Captain John fishing. "Hey Captain! I'm ready to head back now!" Okotsu said, catching Captain John's attention. "Right! Let's get going Lad!" Captain John said. They both got on the ship and Captain John pulled the anchor up. He started the ship and they began to sail back to Johto.
"So, did you get what you came for?" Captain John asked. Okotsu pulled out Lugia's Ultra Ball and looked at it. "Yep. I'm now one step closer to becoming a better trainer," Okotsu said with a smile. He put Lugia's Ultra Ball back in his bag and looked at the sky as they sailed back to Johto.
After twenty minutes, Captain John pulled into the dock. "Alright Lad, it was nice sailing with you. I'll see you next time you need a ride," Captain John said. "Right! See you later!" Okotsu said as he got off the boat. He began to make his way down the path that lead to New Bark Town. "(It's gonna take a while to get there, but atleast I'll be able to see lots of cool Pokemon on the way.)" Okotsu thought as he started his long walk back to New Bark Town.
