Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Ashton and Blastoise walked into the gym and walked to the battlefield. "Hello! I'm here for a gym battle!" Ashton said out loud. He waited for a bit, but no one came out. "The gym leader must not be here right now," Ashton said to Blastoise. "Blast!" Blastoise said nodded.
They heard the gym doors open behind them and saw a kid with purple hair holding a notepad and a giant bug net.

The boy looked up and saw Ashton and Blastoise waiting for the gym leader. "Oh hello there. Are you here for a gym battle?" The boy asked. "Yeah. Do you know where the gym leader is?" Ashton asked. "Of course I do. You're looking right at him. The name's Bugsy, the Azalea City Gym Leader," Bugsy said.
"Nice to meet you Bugsy. My name is Ashton and this is my partner Blastoise," Ashton said. "Blastoise!" Blastoise said. "Nice to meet you both. Are you ready to start the battle?" Bugsy asked. "Yep! I'm gonna win and get my second badge!" Ashton said with a determined grin. "Let's do this then! How many Pokemon will you be using. I'll be using two," Bugsy said. "Then I'll also use two," Ashton said.
Bugsy smiled and pulled out a PokeBall. "Then let's begin! I'm about to show you why I'm the authority on Bug Type Pokemon!" Bugsy said. Bugsy threw his first PokeBall forward and a Beedrill came out.
"A Beedrill huh. Alright then! Go Cyndaquil!" Ashton shouted as he grabbed Cyndaquil's PokeBall and tossed it forward. Cyndaquil came out and growled at Beedrill.
"Beedrill, use Poison Sting!" Bugsy said. Beedrill flew at Cyndaquil and tried to sting it with it's stinger. "Cyndaquil, dodge and use Ember!" Ashton said. Cyndaquil dodged the attack and shot fire at Beedrill. "Beedrill, use Poison Sting again!" Bugsy said. Beedrill flew at Cyndaquil and tried to sting it. Cyndaquil dodged again and slammed it's head into Beedrill's head.
"Cyndaquil, Ember again!" Ashton said. Cyndaquil jumped into the air and shot more fire at Beedrill, knocking it out of the sky. Beedrill crashed into the ground and fainted. Bugsy called Beedrill back to it's Pokeball and grabbed his second PokeBall. "Let's go Synther!" Bugsy said, throwing it forward.
Bugsy sent out his Synther and Ashton called Cyndaquil back to it's Pokeball. Ashton grabbed a PokeBall and threw it forward. Wooper came out. "Synther, use X-Scissor!" Bugsy said. Synther flew at Wooper and prepared it's claws. It cut Wooper in an X shaped cut. "Wooper, use Water Gun!" Ashton said.
Wooper jumped up and shot a beam of water at Synther. "Synther, use Fury Swipes!" Bugsy said. "Wooper, dodge them and use Headbutt!" Ashton said. Synther flew at Wooper and started trying to scratch it, but Wooper dodged all of them and jumped backwards. Wooper ran towards Synther and slammed it's head into Synther's chest. "Synther, use Slash!" Bugsy said.
Synther lifted it's claw and delivered a huge scratch to Wooper's face. "Wooper, Bubble attack now!" Ashton said. Wooper shot a huge bubble at Synther, which popped when it touched Synther and damaged it a lot. "Now finish it with a Headbutt!" Ashton said. Wooper jumped at Synther and slammed it's head into Synther's chest, causing it to fall down and faint.
