Episode 12: S.S Anne!

Ashton, Justin, and King walked into Vermillion City and looked around. "This place is bigger than Cerulean City," Ashton said in amazement. "Where do you guys think the gym is at?" Justin asked.

Ashton looked around and saw a building with a brown roof. "I think that might be it right there," Ashton said, pointing at the building. They walked up to it and read the sign next to the door. The sign read," Vermillion City Gym! Lt. Surge awaits!".

"Alright guys, let's go inside," Ashton said. He pushed the door, but it didn't budge. That's when he noticed a note on the door. The note said," Lt. Surge out. Come back later!".

"Now what do we do?" Justin asked as they all walked away from the gym. "We could go train. We don't know how strong Lieutenant Surge is," Ashton suggested. "Maybe later. We just got done battling those Team Rocket guys. We could use a break," King said.

"Hey look, a boat," Ashton said, looking at the dock. The other two trainers looked over and saw a giant ship that said " S.S Anne" on the side. Suddenly, King's eyes widened. "That's the S.S Anne! I can't believe I get to see it in person!" King exclaimed. "What's so good about it? It's just a giant ship," Ashton asked.

"It's a ship that sails the world every year. They hold a big party, sail off for a bit, and drop the passengers back off at Vermilion City. For the party, they only invite good trainers aboard," King said.

"That sounds really fun," Justin said. "Yeah. It would be an honor to be invited onto the S.S Anne," King said. Suddenly, a red ticket was slapped into his hand, followed by someone saying," Consider yourself honored".

"It's Toru! Hey man!" Ashton exclaimed as he gave him a fist bump. "Were you waiting for a moment like that?" Justin asked. "How did you get this?" King asked. " Got some from some friends who didn't want to go. I got three more if you want to come along, Ash and Justin," Toru said, showing the other three tickets.

"Sure! It sounds like fun and could be a good way of getting stronger," Ashton said. Justin nodded in agreement. Toru handed Ashton and Justin their tickets and they made their way to the docks.

"So have you challenged Lieutenant Surge?" "Yeah. I'll give you guys a tip. He's a master of Lightning types so don't use and Flying types or Water Types," Toru said. "Guess this'll be easy for me," King said. Pikachu jumped from his shoulder to his head.

"We're here guys," Justin said. They walked to the ticket guy and and handed him their tickets. "Welcome aboard," The ticket guy said. The four boys walked up the ramp and stepped into the lounge area. " Excuse me, you four," They heard someone call out. They turned and saw a secretary calling them.

They walked over to her. "Are you guys here for the party or to sail off after?" The secretary asked. "We're here for the party and then we're leaving," Toru said. "Alright then, that will be all," The woman said.

"Ok what are you guys gonna do?" King asked. "I'm gonna walk around and talk to some people. See ya guys," Toru said, walking away. "I'll find something to do," Justin said. "I'm gonna battle people!" Ashton said with a confident grin on his face. "Then how about you battle me?" He heard someone familiar ask. It was Red.

"Of course Red! I've been hoping me and you could battle," Ashton said. "Alright, let's go," Red said as he lead Ashton up to the deck. "Guess I'll go watch. You can come if you want Justin," King said. Justin nodded and the two went up to the deck.

On the deck, Ashton and Red had cleared off an area to have their battle. People gathered around to watch the battle go down. "Alright how do you wanna do this?" Ashton asked. "The rules will be a three on three match. First to have all their Pokémon faint loses," Red said. "Alright, seems fair! Let's begin! Go Wartortle!" Ashton yelled, throwing his Pokeball.
