Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Our heros have been walking down the streets of Ecruteak City for three minutes, looking for the Gym and eventually arrived, but were met with an unexpected surprise.
Ashton pushed on the door, but it wouldn't budge. "Huh? Is the door locked or something?" Okotsu asked. "The Gym Leader ain't here right now," the three boys heard someone say. They turned and saw an old man. "Where is the Gym Leader at then?" Justin asked. The old man pointed to an old building in the distance. "He's over there in the burned Tower," The old man said. "Why is he there though? That building looks like it's extremely old," Okotsu asked.
"That's because he has a friend there who likes to study Pokemon," The old man said. "So I guess we'll have to wait until he gets back. Hey guys, let's go find a place to sleep tonight. It looks like it's getting late," Justin said. "Yeah, ok. Let's go," Okotsu said. "I'll catch up with you guys. I wanna go check that building out," Ashton said. "Alright then, be safe and come find the hotel when we you leave," Justin said as he and Okotsu turned and walked off.
"Right then. Let's go Blastoise and Togepi!" Ashton said. "Blast!" Blastoise said as they walked towards the building. Ashton reached in his bag and pulled out a cookie that he had bought at the Theater. He opened the wrapper and split it into three pieces. "Here you guys go. I'm sure you must be hungry," Ashton said, handing the cookie pieces to Blastoise and Togepi. "Blastoise!" Blastoise said with a smile. "Togepi!" Togepi said happily.
They all are their piece of the cookie and kept walking to the building. Eventually they arrived at the building and walked inside. There was a staircase leading up, so they all walked up the stairs until they got to the top and saw two men. One had blond hair and was wearing a purple headband, a purple and red scarf, and purple and black clothes.

"Hey there! Are one of you the gym leaders?" Ashton asked out loud, catching their attentions. "Oh hello there. Who might you be?" The man with the purple scarf asked. "My name's Ashton and these are my partners Blastoise and Togepi!" Ashton said. "Blast!" Blastoise said, waving at the two men. "Togepi!" Togepi said.
