Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
When he got to Celeron City, he was amazed by the sight of it. There was lots of people dressed fancily. There was booths everywhere selling food and items or game booths. Celadon City looked like a carnival that night.
"Woah, this festival looks so fun," Ashton said. "Well, no matter where I go, you're always here. I'm joking. What's up Ash?" Ashton heard someone say. He turned and saw Toru. Beside him was a girl with long brown hair and she was wearing a white hat.

"What's up Toru. Who's this?" Ashton asked, pointing at the girl beside him. "My name's Leaf. I'm traveling with your friend here," Leaf said. "Really? I thought you were gonna travel alone this whole time," Ashton said.
"Nah. I figured that was boring and I was actually gonna come find you guys and ask, but then I met Leaf here. She's actually the third trainer from Pallet besides Red and Blue," Toru said. "So you guys are traveling alone together?" Ashton asked. Toru nodded. Ashton noticed Toru's face was slightly red and grinned a little, much to Toru and Leaf's confusion. "Hey Leaf, can me and Toru talk in private for a sec?" Ashton asked. "Sure!" She said.
Ashton pulled Toru to a nearby crowd where Leaf couldn't hear them. "You're traveling with her because you like her, aren't you?" Ashton asked with a grin. Toru blushed heavily at this. "It was that obvious?" Toru asked. "Nope, but now my suspicions are correct," Ashton said.
"Don't worry, I won't tell her," Ashton said. "Thanks man," Toru said. Ashton and Toru both walked back to Leaf, who was staring at a game booths. "Well it was fun catching up Toru! It was also nice meeting you Leaf. Goodbye guys," Ashton said. "Bye!" Toru and Leaf said. Ashton turned and started walking around. "(Oh crap! I just remembered I spent all my money on that Evolution Stone!)" Ashton thought.
He saw an ATM and sighed in relief. He walked to it and placed his Pokedex in the slot. He grabbed the Pokedollars from the machine and grabbed his Pokedex. "Now I can have some fun," Ashton said to himself. He walked to a booth that had a sign that read, "Ball Toss!". It was a booth that had three bottles stacked on top of each other inside.
He handed some money to the guy running the booth and grabbed a ball. He threw it forward and hit the first bottle, knocking it over. He grabbed the second ball and threw it forward, knocking the second bottle over. He grabbed the last ball and threw it forward, knocking the last ball over. "(I guess becoming a Pokemon Trainer has really helped improve my throwing skills since I have to throw PokeBalls all the time!)" Ashton thought with a smile on his face.
"You can choose any prize you want," The guy running the booth said. Ashton looked at all the prizes. There was one that caught his eye. It was a red hat with a black design and a green circle in the middle.

"I'll take that!" Ashton said, pointing at the hat. The man grabbed the hat and handed it to Ashton. "(It feels almost as if this hat belongs with my outfit)" Ashton said, putting the hat on. "It looks nice kid," The man said. Ashton smiled and walked away. He saw another booth that was selling food, but he couldn't see the people running it. He walked over to it.
"Um hello, anyone running this bo-?" He was about to ask before he saw who was running it. It was being run by Ronnie and Mike. "You two? You two are running this?" Ashton asked in shock. Mike was handing people their food and Ronnie was cooking. "Hm? Oh it's you. Normally we'd try to steal your Pokemon, but this is a festival so we'll do it later. Are you here to order food or not?" Mike asked.
Ashton sat down in one of the stools and looked at the menu. "You guys have a lot, but I'll just take some cookies," Ashton said. "Gotcha. Give me one second," Mike said. He turned to Ronnie. "Hey Ronnie! That kid we've been chasing wants some cookies!" Mike yelled. Ronnie nodded and started making them. Once he was done and got them into shape, he placed them into the over.
After thirty minutes of cooking, Ronnie pulled them out and let them cool. Once they were done cooling down, he put them on a plate and handed it to Mike, who handed the plate to Ashton. Ashton took a bite out of the cookie and was shocked by the taste. "This is good! I can't believe this was made by the guy who wants to steal my Pokemon!" Ashton exclaimed as he scarfed down the rest of the cookies. Ronnie chuckled at this. "Yeah, I might be part of Team Rocket, but that doesn't mean I can't have an hobbies or free time," Ronnie said. Ashton pulled out some money and handed it to Mike.
He got up and walked away from the booth. "I can't believe he knows how to cook," Ashton said. He kept looking around and visiting booths. He looked at the clock on his Pokedex. It was currently 11:22. "Yikes. I'd better find a place to sleep," Ashton said to himself. He walked to a nearby Pokemon Center and walked inside. "Um excuse me, do you guys have any rooms I can stay in for the night?" Ashton asked the nurse. "Of course, follow me!" She said, leading Ashton to a room in the back.
"Have a good sleep!" The nurse said, walking out and closing the door behind her. Ashton took off his bag and placed it on the floor. He looked in a nearby mirror. "This hat looks really good on me," Ashton said to himself before he took it off and place it on the nightstand beside his bed. He laid down and turned the lights off. "Right! Tomorrow I face the Celadon City Gym! I can't wait!" Ashton said. He turned the lamp light off and drifted to sleep.
