Journeys Of A Pokémon Trainer

Episode 66

Our heros were currently walking down the road that led to Goldenrod City. Ashton was drinking out of a water bottle, Justin was looking at the map on his Pokedex, and Okotsu was holding the egg for Blastoise, who was eating a berry snack that Okotsu made for it. "Blastoise!" Blastoise said happily, finishing the snack. "I'm glad you liked it Blastoise," Okotsu said with a smile.

Up ahead on the path was a young boy training his Rattata by making it battle wild Pokemon. The boy noticed Ashton and his friends and ran up to them. "Hi there! Are you guys Pokemon Trainers?" The boy asked. "Yep!" The three boys said. "Awesome! Would any one of you like to battle me so I can train my Rattata?" The boy asked.

"I'll do it! I could also use some training for some of my Pokemon as well!" Ashton said, stepping forward. "Great! The name's Joey!" Joey said. "My name's Ashton and this is my partner Blastoise. Over there are my friends Justin and Okotsu," Ashton said. "Hello there," Justin said. "Hi!" Okotsu said.

"Nice to meet you guys! Are you ready to start the battle?" Joey asked. "Yep! Let's do this!" Ashton said. He grabbed a PokeBall and threw it forward. "Let's go Aipom!" Ashton said, throwing the PokeBall forward.

"Alright Rattata, get ready!" Joey said. Rattata nodded and jumped forward. "Alright let's begin! Aipom, use Tail Slam!" Ashton said. Aipom ran forward and slammed it's tail into Rattata's face. "Good now use Mega Punch!" Ashton said.

Aipom covered it's fist in an orange aura and punched Rattata in the face. "Rattata, use Hyper Fang!" Joey said. Rattata jumped at Aipom and bit it's tail. "A-Aipom!" Aipom shouted as it started running around, trying to get Rattata off it's tail. "Aipom, slam it into the ground!" Ashton said. Aipom jumped into the air and did a flip, slamming Rattata into the ground and making it let go. "Good, now knock it back!" Ashton said. Aipom did a 360 spin, slamming it's tail into Rattata and sending the Rat Pokemon tumbling back.

"Rattata, can you still fight?" Joey asked. Rattata stood up and looked at it's trainer. "Rattata!" It said with a determined look on it's face. "Good! Then use Quick Attack!" Joey said. Rattata rushed at Aipom at a high speed and slammed it's head into Aipom's chest. "Aipom, grab it and use Slam!" Ashton said. Aipom grabbed Rattata and jumped high into the air.

"Aipom!" Aipom shouted as it threw Rattata into the ground really hard, causing Rattata to faint. "Rattata! You did good buddy! Return!" Joey said, calling it back to it's Pokeball. "You did great Aipom!" Ashton said. "Aipom!" Aipom said happily, giving it's trainer a high five. Ashton called it back to it's Pokeball. "Both of you did great!" Justin said.

"Thanks. Would you guys like to stop by my house for a rest. It's not that far from here," Joey asked. "Sure! I'm sure both of us could catch a break after that Intense battle," Ashton said. "Right! Then follow me!" Joey said as he walked down the road. Ashton, Justin, Okotsu, and Blastoise followed him.

They walked down the road for a bit and eventually arrived at a house on the side of the road. Joey opened the door and let the trainers walk in. "Hello Dear! Who are your guests here?" A woman asked. "Hi Mom! These are my new friends Ashton, Justin, Okotsu, and Blastoise!" Joey said. "Hi there! Me and your son had a battle earlier! He's super strong!" Ashton said.

"Really now? Well I'm sure that you must be tired. Please come in, I have drinks if you want some," Joey's Mom said as she let the boys in. "Wow. You have a nice house and your mom is super nice! It kinda reminds me of home," Ashton said. "Same here," Justin said.

A couple seconds later, Joey's Mom walked into the living room with some drinks. "Here you go!" She said with a cheerful tone. "Thank you!" The four trainers said as they grabbed a drink and started drinking it. Joey looked at Ashton's Blastoise and saw the egg. "Say, who's Blastoise does this belong to? Also, why's it holding an egg?" Joey asked. "Oh that's my Blastoise. It was my first ever Pokemon and it's my Partner Pokemon. That egg was given to me by Professor Elm," Ashton said.

"Really? You met Professor Elm?" Joey asked. "Yep! He's a really nice guy!" Justin said. "And super smart too!" Okotsu said. "I see. I hope I can meet him one day," Joey said. "I'm sure you will," Ashton said. The four boys finished their drinks and put the cups in the sink. "Well we should get going! We gotta head to Goldenrod City!" Ashton said.

"I see! Well it was really nice meeting you guys. Hopefully we meet again and I'll be stronger!" Joey said. The three trainers smiled at Joey and continued down the road to Goldenrod City. "Joey was super nice! I'm glad I met him and I got a little bit of training today!" Ashton said happily. "I'm sure we'll meet him again one day," Justin said.
