Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Ashton got to the stadium at the same time as Toru and they both walked to the Battle Area. They both faced each other and grinned. "You know, I've wanted a battle with you since we left Pallet Town. Glad I've finally been given the opportunity," Ashton said. "Me too. I'm so excited!" Toru said.
The judge walked to the battle Area. "Hello Everyone! Who's ready for this exciting battle!?" The judge asked. The crowded cheered. "I'll take that as a yes! Are you boys excited?" The judge asked. Ashton and Toru nodded. "Good! Then send out your first Pokemon and let's start the battles!" The judge said. Ashton and Toru grabbed the first PokeBall and sent out their Pokemon. Ashton sent out Venomoth and Toru sent out Hitmonchan.
"Venomoth, use Stun Spore!" Ashton shouted, start the battle. Venomoth flew above Hitmonchan and a yellow powder fell from it's wings. "Hitmonchan! That stuff will paralyze you! Get away from it!" Toru shouted. Hitmonchan jumped back, avoiding the powder. "Good job, now use Quick Jab!" Toru shouted. Hitmonchan rushed at Venomoth and slammed it's fist into Venomoth's face, sending the bug Pokemon crashing into the ground.
"Venomoth, get up and use Razor Wind!" Ashton shouted. Venomoth got up and flapped it's wings, causing sharp gusts of wind to hit Hitmonchan, cutting it all over it's body. "Good, now use Tackle!" Ashton shouted. Venomoth flew at Hitmonchan and slammed it's head into Hitmonchan.
"Hitmonchan, use Flame Punch!" Toru said. Hitmonchan winded it's fist and it set on fire. Hitmonchan punched Venomoth, sending it flying back. Venomoth fainted.
Ashton called Venomoth back and prepared his next Pokemon. "Go Haunter!" Ashton shouted, throwing the PokeBall. Haunter came out and glared at Hitmonchan. "Haunter, use Shadow Ball!" Ashton shouted. Haunter made a ball of dark energy and threw it at Hitmonchan. Hitmonchan couldn't block it and was damaged a lot. "Now use Shadow Punch!" Ashton shouted. Haunter flew at Hitmonchan and covered it's fist in dark energy.
Haunter punched Hitmonchan in the face, making it slide back. "Hitmonchan, use Full Power Punch!" Toru yelled. Hitmonchan dashed at Haunter and threw a punch at Haunter. Hitmonchan's fist went straight through Haunter. "Did you forget?! Haunter is a Ghost type, so Fighting type moves have no effect on it!" Ashton said. "I know that! Bet you weren't expecting this though! Hitmonchan, Focus Blast!" Toru shouted. Hitmonchan turned around a charged a beam in its hands.
It shot the beam at Haunter, sending it flying back. "What?!" Ashton shouted. "Good job Hitmonchan! Now use Sand Attack!" Toru shouted. Hitmonchan ran at Haunter and punched the ground, causing dust to fly everywhere. Haunter couldn't see anything. "Now use it again!" Toru shouted. Hitmonchan charged another beam and shot it at Haunter , sending the Ghost type flying back again.
"Haunter, use your Shadow Ball attack again!" Ashton shouted. Haunter made another ball of dark energy and threw it at Hitmonchan. Hitmonchan went sliding back. "Great Job! Now use Dark Pulse!" Ashton shouted. Haunter shot a beam of dark energy at Hitmonchan, damaging it and making it faint. Toru called Hitmonchan back to it's Pokeball and grabbed a Safari Ball and tossed it forward.
A giant Pokemon that looked like a tree and had three eggs with faces came out.
