Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Twenty minutes had passed and eventually, Justin, King, and Okotsu walked out of the gym. "Hey guys. Did you get your badge?" Ashton asked. "Yep! Why didn't you tell us the gym leader was the boss of Team Rocket?!" Justin asked. "I guess I was still catching up to the fact that I finally beat him. Anyway, now that we all have eight gym badges, we can qualify for the Kanto League Tournament!" Ashton exclaimed.
"Oh boy! I can't wait until it starts!" King exclaimed. "Let's go to The Pokémon center so we can sign up," Okotsu said. The four boys walked to the Pokémon center and walked inside. They walked up to the front desk. "Excuse us. We're here to sign up for the League Tournament," Ashton said. The nurse nodded and pulled out a sheet of paper. "Just sign here and show me all your badges and I'll qualify you for the Tournament," The nurse said.
The boys took turns signing the paper and then showed the nurse the badges. She typed something on the computer and then grabbed the sheet of paper. "Alright! You're now qualified to participate in the Tournament. In one month, make your way to the Indigo Plateau Building. There should be a map of your Pokédex's if any of you have one," The nurse said.
The boys nodded and walked out of the Pokémon center. "Alright guys. For the next month, we should all train out Pokémon so we're ready for the Tournament," Justin said. "Right! Well I'm heading for Pallet Town. What about you three?" Ashton asked. "I'm staying here. It is my hometown and plus, I never got to say hi to my family," King said. "I'm staying here too. It would be beneficial for the both of us if we trained together," Okotsu said to King.
"Ok! Then in one month, we'll all meet here and head to the Indigo Plateau!" Ashton said, raising his fist. The other three boys raised their fist as well. "Right. See you next month, King and Okotsu. Let's go Justin," Ashton said.
Ashton and Justin walked down the road to Pallet Town, stopping to cook some food, before finally making it home. "Ok. For the next four weeks, we'll be constantly battling and making our Pokémon stronger!" Ashton said. "Yep. Let's go home and rest first and then we can come back later and train," Justin suggested. "Ok! See you later Justin," Ashton said. The two trainers walked to their houses and rested and ate. When they were done, they walked to the field near Pallet Town. "Ok! Let's begin!" Ashton exclaimed.
For the next four weeks, Ashton and Justin trained their Pokémon constantly. Most of their Pokémon evolved during this time. Ashton's Mankey became a Primeape.
