Episode 42: Leaf Vs Eric!

Ashton, Justin, Toru, King, Okotsu, Red, and Leaf were all walking back to the waiting room to wait for Leaf's match. Leaf was clearly nervous. Toru grabbed her hand and looked at her. "Don't be nervous. If you're nervous, you'll lose the match. Don't worry, we believe in you," Toru said. Leaf nodded and Toru let go of her hand.

Leaf was slightly blushing at the fact that Toru grabbed her hand. They got to the waiting room and waited for a bit. A couple minutes later, Ashton stood up. "I'm bored. I'm gonna go walk around for a bit," Ashton said. "I'll go with you. I'm also bored," King said, standing up and walking to Ashton. "Alright. See ya guys," Ashton said. He and King turned and walked out of the room.

They walked around for a bit, looking at all the people who came to see the matches. "Hey King! Hey Ashton!" They heard someone say. They turned and saw Misty and Erika walking together. King blushed at the sight of Misty. "Hey Misty. Hey Erika it's been a while," Ashton greeted the two gym leaders. "Hello Ashton. It has been been a while. I saw your earlier matches and I must say I'm impressed with your growth," Erika said. "Thanks Erika. I'm glad you came to see our matches," Ashton said.

"So anyway, what are you guys doing?" Misty asked. "We're just walking around until Leaf's match starts," Ashton said. "Oh. Well I wanted to give you guys something," Misty said. She reached in her pocket and pulled out two necklaces with sea shells on them and handed them to Ashton and King. "What are these?" King asked.

"They're good luck charms. I wanted to give them to you as a way for me to root for you," Misty said. King put his around his neck and Ashton wrapped his around his arm. "Thanks Misty, we'll see you later," Ashton said. "Bye Misty. Bye Erika," King said. "Bye," The gym leaders said. Ashton and King turned and walked away.

"I think it's about time for the matches to start," King said. Ashton nodded and they both walked back to the Indigo Plateau building. Along the way, Ashton decided to tease King.

"Ah! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" Ashton said, mimicking King when he almost crashed into Misty. "S-Shut up Ash!" King yelled, blushing hard at the memory. Ashton laughed and they both walked into the Indigo Plateau.

They walked into the waiting room and saw it was empty. "The matches must have started! Let's go!" Ashton said. Ashton and King ran to the stands and saw their friends. They sat down beside them. The match hadn't started yet.

"I'm glad we didn't miss it," King said. "How long until the match?" Ashton asked Justin. Justin shrugged.

After a couple minutes of waiting, Eric and Leaf walked to the Battle Area. "There she is! Hi Leaf!" Toru called out. Leaf saw him and smiled and waved. Eric and Ashton noticed each other and Eric scoffed.

Eric and Leaf walked up to the Battle Area. "You must be Toru's Girlfriend. You must be strong," Eric said. Leaf blushed at this. "Toru's not my Boyfriend!" Leaf exclaimed. Ashton and Justin silently laughed at Toru in the stands.

"Whatever. Either way, I don't plan on losing," Eric said. The judge walked to the Battle Area. "Hello Everyone! Welcome to the fifth match of today! After the next match, we'll end the matches for the day and continue the rest of the tournament tomorrow! Today we have the two trainers from Pallet Town, Eric and Leaf!" The judge announced.

"Do you think she's gonna win?" Ashton asked. "I don't know. Her Pokemon are super strong and she never had any problems with the gym leaders, but we have no clue what type of Pokemon Eric has or how strong they are," Toru said.

"Would the two trainers please send out their Pokemon and start the match?" The judge asked. Eric and Leaf pulled out their PokeBalls and threw them forward. Eric sent out a Dodrio and Leaf sent out a Victreebel.
