Episode 97: A Great Day For Battling! The Johto League Begins!

Ashton and the other contestants walked into the stadium and saw lots of people cheering for them. "Wow. It's just like the Kanto League Tournament," Ashton said to Justin and Toru. They both nodded in agreement.

They all walked to the middle of the arena and waited until the judge walked to them. "Hello Johto Region! Who's ready for some amazing battles?!" The judge asked. The entire stadium began to cheer louder.

Ashton looked in the crowd and saw many familiar faces. He saw his mom, who waved at him. He saw Captain John and Bill. He looked around some more and saw Ronnie and Mike. "(I'm guessing they're here to "root" for me.)" Ashton thought. He looked at the top row of the crowd and saw all the Kanto and Johto Gym Leaders minus Giovanni and Misty.

"Now then! Time for the battles! For the first round, we have Adrian and Ashton! I watched those two battle before and both of them were incredibly strong!" The Judge said. Adrian and Ashton looked at each other and grinned. "What luck! I get to have my rematch right away!" Ashton said. "Don't lose Ashton!" Adrian said.

"After that, the two trainers Eric and Silver will battle!" The judge said. Neither trainer looked at each other or had a reaction. "(I'm gonna win.)" Eric thought.

"The third battle will be between Justin and Okotsu!" The judge said. "Hey Okotsu! Let's both do our best!" Justin said. "Right! Good luck!" Okotsu said.

"The final battle will be between Toru and Jason!" The judge said. Toru grinned with determination and Jason smiled.

"Now then, contestants will head to their rooms and have a thirty minute break to rest their Pokemon and then we will begin our matches!" The judge said. Eric and Silver both turned and walked out of the stadium. The other contestants all turned and walked out as well.

They all got to the lobby, where a man in a suit was waiting for them. "Follow me and I'll show you to your rooms," The man said. All the contestants followed behind them. He led them to a hallway with a bunch of doors. "Pick a room and place all your stuff in there. In thirty minutes, make your way to the stadium so we can begin the matches," The Man said before walking away.

All the trainers walked into their rooms and began to put all their stuff there. Eric and Silver decided to leave to go train their Pokemon. Adrian, Jason, and Okotsu all stayed in their rooms to rest. Ashton, Toru, and Justin all met up in the hallway. "Hey guys, I'm gonna go get some food. Wanna come with me?" Toru asked. "Yeah, I could eat right now," Ashton said. "Same. I am pretty hungry," Justin said.

"Ok, let's go then," Toru said as they all left the trainer plaza and made their way to the main lobby. Luckily, there was a food stop there. They all got to the shop and weren't very amused when they found out who the owners were. "Team Rocket." They all groaned. "Oh relax! We're just here to make some money! Now are you gonna order or complain?" Ronnie asked. "

They all looked at the menu to decide what they wanted to eat. Ashton ordered a burger, Justin ordered just a soda, and Toru ordered a whole plate of cookies and brownies. "Still have that sweet tooth, huh?" Ashton asked. "Haha! Yep! Gotta get a little sugar in before my matches," Toru said. " A little?! You ordered a whole plate of sugar!" Ronnie yelled as he and Mike cooked their food, making the three trainers laugh.

Once Ronnie and Mike finished cooking, they handed all the food to the trainers and the three trainers handed Team Rocket the money. They all began to dig in to their food. Toru ate really fast, gaining looks of mild disgust from his friends. "All that sugar on that plate has got to be a health violation," Ashton said. They all finished their food and left the food stand. "So what now?" Justin asked.

"Let's just walked around for a bit," Ashton said. They spent the rest of their time walking around the lobby until the intercom turned on. "Attention everyone. It has now been thirty minutes, which means the matches are about to start. Would the two trainers Ashton and Adrian please head to the arena to begin the match?" The announcer asked. "That's my que. See ya guys!" Ashton shouted as he ran to his room to grab his Pokemon. He pulled out all his PokeBalls and placed them on the floor.

He began to think for a bit and decided on which Pokemon he would use. He grabbed six PokeBalls and put the rest in his bag before running out of his room and to the stadium. He got to the gate and took a long deep breath before walking through. Ashton was prepared to battle.
