Three trainers leave Pallet Town and travel across the Kanto and Johto regions. Along the way, they meet lots of friends and enemies and compete in the Kanto Tournament League and the Johto League.
Ashton and Blastoise walked into the gym and were amazed at the sights. A lot of bird Pokemon were flying around, interacting with each other.
"Wow! This place looks so cool, huh Blastoise?" Ashton said. "Blastoise!" Blastoise said in agreement. "Hello there. Are you here to challenge the gym?" They heard someone ask. Ashton and Blastoise turned and saw a boy with blue hair and mostly blue clothes walked up to them.

"Yeah I am. Are you the Gym Leader?" Ashton asked. "Yes I am. I'm Falkner and if you couldn't tell by the gym, I absolutely adore flying types. The way they fly the skies looking elegant," Falkner said.
"Nice to meet you Falkner. I'm Ashton and this is my partner Blastoise," Ashton said. "It's nice to meet you Ashton and Blastoise. Are you ready to begin the match?" Falkner asked. "Yep! I'm excited to earn my first Johto Gym Badge!" Ashton exclaimed.
Falkner smiled and led Ashton to a battle field. "Ok how many Pokemon will you be using?" Falkner asked. "I'm gonna use two," Ashton said. "Then I shall also use two Pokemon," Falkner said.
Falkner grabbed a PokeBall off his belt and tossed it into his hand. "Let's do this! Go Pidgey!" Falkner shouted, throwing his PokeBall forward. Falkner's Pidgey came out and squawked. "Guess I'll start off with one of my Kanto Pokemon!" Ashton said. Ashton reached in his bag and pulled out a PokeBall. "Go Magnemite!" Ashton shouted, throwing the PokeBall forward.
"A Magnemite. This might be a little hard, but we won't back down! Pidgey use Gust!" Falkner said. Pidgey flapped it's wings and a huge gust of wind blasted towards Magnemite. Magnemite was sent flying into the Gyms back wall. "Magnemite, come back and use Spark!" Ashton said.
Magnemite generated lightning from it's body and shot it at Pidgey. "Pidgey, dodge and use Wing Attack!" Falkner said. Pidgey flew out of the way of the attack and flapped it's wings hard, sending an even harder gust of wind at Magnemite. Magnemite pushed hard this time and didn't go flying into wall. "Magnemite, use Electro Ball!" Ashton said.
Magnemite made a ball of electricity and threw it at Pidgey. Pidgey was hit by the attack and was shocked. Pidgey fell to the ground, but didn't faint. "Pidgey, Quick Attack!" Falkner said. Pidgey got up and flew at Magnemite incredibly fast. Pidgey pecked Magnemite hard, making the Steel Electric type slam into the ground. "Magnemite, use Headbutt!" Ashton shouted.
Magnemite floated off the ground and slammed it's head into Pidgey's face. "Now use Thundershock!" Ashton said. Magnemite generated more lightning from it's body and shot another bolt of lightning at Pidgey, this bolt stronger than the last. Pidgey couldn't dodge and was hit by the attack. Pidgey was shocked and fell to the ground. Pidgey fainted. Falkner called Pidgey back to it's Pokeball.
"So you took down my Pidgey! Well then time for my Ace! Go Pidgeotto!" Falkner said, throwing his next PokeBall. Falkner's Pidgeotto came out.
"Good Job Magnemite! Come back!" Ashton said. Magnemite floated to Ashton's side. "Good job buddy!" Ashton said, rubbing Magnemite's head, which kinda stung since Magnemite had just finished generating electricity from it's body. Ashton called Magnemite back to it's Pokeball and put it in his bag. "Ok Blastoise! Let's go!" Ashton said, pointing his hand forward.
Blastoise walked forward to the battle field. "Pidgeotto, let's start off strong with a Gust attack!" Falkner said. Pidgeotto flapped it's wings, causing a huge burst of wind to fly at Blastoise. "Blastoise, block it and use Water Gun!" Ashton said.
Blastoise crossed it's arm, blocking the gust. Once the attack was done, Blastoise charged a beam of water and shot it at Pidgeotto. "Pidgeotto, dodge and use Aerial Ace!" Falkner said. Pidgeot dodged the beam of water and dived bombed at Blastoise. Pidgeotto slammed into Blastoise's chest, making it fall on it's back. "Blastoise, get back up and use Water Pulse!" Ashton said.
Blastoise got back up and shot ring shaped beams of water at Pidgeotto. "Pidgeotto, Steel Wing!" Falkner shouted.
Pidgeotto's wings turned into steel and flew at Blastoise. Pidgeotto flew at Blastoise and slammed it's wings into Blastoise. "Blastoise, Hydro Pump!" Ashton shouted. Blastoise charged a huge beam of water and shot it at Pidgeotto, knocking it out of the sky. Pidgeotto crashed into the ground and fainted. Falkner called Pidgeotto back to it's Pokeball.
"I guess that you beat my Flying Types and for that, I award you the Zephyr Badge. It's proof of your victory at the Violet City Gym," Falkner said. Ashton accepted the badge and smiled. "Thanks Falkner. Your Flying Type were really strong. I know you'll grow to become a really strong trainer," Ashton said. Falkner smiled and Ashton and Blastoise walked out of the gym.
"Right now let's go find Justin and Okotsu and head to the next city!" Ashton said. "Blast!" Blastoise said. Ashton and Blastoise walked down the street and eventually saw Justin and Okotsu eating at a restaurant throw the window. "There they are! Let's go!" Ashton said.
Ashton and Blastoise walked into the restaurant and walked to Justin and Okotsu's table. "Hey guys! I got the Zephyr Badge!" Ashton said, showing the badge. "Awesome! Let's get going then!" Justin said. "Here you go Ash!" Okotsu said, handing Ashton the egg. "Thanks for taking care of it. Let's go guys!" Ashton said. Justin and Okotsu finished their food and left the money and walked out of the restaurant.
"So what's the next city?" Okotsu asked. Justin was about to pull out his Pokedex when Ashton stopped him. "Don't worry Justin. I have a Pokegear with a map which means I'm the navigator now. Anyway, the next city to head to is Azalea City. We'll have to cross through the ruins of Alph first," Ashton said. The others nodded and made their way to the exit of Violet City. They walked out and made their way down the road.
