Episode 61: Violet City!

Our heros were currently walking through the entrance to Violet City after walking for ten minutes. Ashton was trying to clean his Pokemon egg with Okotsu's help. "You have to wipe it softly but hard enough to get the egg clean. Otherwise the egg will get infected and the Pokemon inside will be hurt," Okotsu said. Ashton nodded and wiped the egg exactly like Okotsu said. Eventually the egg was clean and Ashton handed the egg to Blastoise.

"Right! Now that we're here, we can challenge the gym and get our first Badge!" Ashton said determinedly. They walked by a sign that caught their eyes. The sign said, "Sprout Tower ahead!".

"Sprout Tower? What's that?" Justin asked. "I don't know, but I'm gonna check it out before my gym battle!" Ashton exclaimed, running ahead, leaving Justin and Okotsu behind. Blastoise ran after Ashton while holding the egg carefully.

Ashton got to another sign that read "Sprout Tower!". A giant building was in front of him. Blastoise walked up to Ashton and started breathing heavily. "Oh hey Blastoise. How's the egg?" Ashton asked. Blastoise lifted the egg, showing it to Ashton. "Good! Let's check out Sprout Tower," Ashton said. "Blastoise!" Blastoise said happily. Ashton and Blastoise walked into the building and into a giant room with a shaking pillar in the middle of the room.

"What is that?" Ashton said as he and Blastoise walked towards the pillar. "I wonder how it shakes like that," Ashton said.

Ashton saw some stairs and began to walk up them. He got to the second floor and saw an old man drinking tea. "Um hello," Ashton said, walking to the old man. "Oh greetings. Welcome to Sprout Tower. What might your name be?" The old man asked. "My name is Ashton and this is my partner Blastoise," Ashton said. "Blast!" Blastoise said happily, waving at the old man.

"So what have you come here for?" The old man asked. "Me and Blastoise just came here to check the place out," Ashton said. "I see. Would you like to go upstairs and meet the Elder Li?" The old man asked. "Sure!" Ashton said. "Right. You two follow me then," The old man said as he sat his tea down and walked to the stairs. Ashton and Blastoise followed him as he walked up their.

As they got up the stairs, they heard some walk forward. It was Silver. "Stupid Old Man and his stupid predictions," Silver said. He looked forward and saw Ashton and Blastoise. "Oh it's the wimp. I'm leaving this place. That old man just kept telling me to be "nice" to my Pokemon. Doesn't he know that Pokemon are just tools?" Silver said.

"He's right! Pokemon aren't meant to be used like tools! They're meant to be treated as your partner!" Ashton said. "Of course a wimp like you would agree with him. Whatever, I'm leaving," Silver said as he pushed past Ashton and Blastoise.

"What is that young man's problem?" The old man asked. "I don't know. He just seems to be angry with everyone," Ashton said. They walked forward and saw the Elder sitting in a chair. "Greetings Elder. I have brought with me a boy named Ashton and his Blastoise," the old man.

"I see. I sense a lot of kindness from him unlike the other boy who reeked of anger and hate," Elder Li said. "So what was Silver talking about? He said something about your predictions," Ashton said.

"Ah yes. I'm able to sense a person's aura and predict their future," The old man said. "Wow really?! Can you sense my future?" Ashton asked. "Of course. Please give me a moment," The elder said. He closed his eyes and began to concentrate.

"I sense lots of disappointments in your future, but will eventually lead to a huge accomplishment. I also sensed your Blastoise's aura and sense a huge bond and power growing between you too. Your Blastoise might grow to become a powerful Pokemon," The elder said.

"You hear that Blastoise? You're gonna be really powerful!" Ashton said happily. "Blastoise! Blast!" Blastoise said just as happily.

"(There's a lot of kindness and love between this boy and his Blastoise. I wonder if they will be the one's to achieve it.)" The elder thought to himself.

"Right! Well thanks for the prediction! I'm gonna go battle the gym leader now! Goodbye!" Ashton said as he and Blastoise ran down the stairs and out of the tower. They ran towards the gym and was about to go in when The door opened and Justin and Okotsu walked out.

"Oh, hey Ash. How was the Sprout Tower?" Okotsu asked. "It was fun. This old man was able to sense me and Blastoise's aura! It turns out we're gonna be super powerful in the future!" Ashton exclaimed. "Blast!" Blastoise said happily. "That's good to hear. Anyway, me and Okotsu just earned our gym badges so we're gonna check out the city for a bit," Justin said. "Okay, have fun! I'm gonna go earn my first Johto gym badge!" Ashton exclaimed. "Alright. Good luck man," Justin said. Ashton smiled and nodded and he and Blastoise walked inside the gym.
