Ashton and his friends walked down the road and eventually reached a gateway with a guard. "Excuse us, is this the gate to the Ruins of Alph?" Ashton asked. "Yes it is. Are you tourists?" The guard asked. "No we're just passing through but we would like to the check the ruins out," Okotsu said.
"We would?" Ashton and Justin asked. "Yeah guys! It's gonna be so cool checking out the ruins and ancient writing," Okotsu said. "Our friend wants to check the place out so I guess we're tourists for today. How much is the price for three people plus one Pokemon and an egg?" Ashton asked.
"Three hundred for the three of you, fifty for the Blastoise if it's gonna be out of it's PokeBall and the egg gets in free," The guard answer.
"I only have fifty," Okotsu said. "I don't have anything. I spent all my money at that restaurant and I haven't sent any data to Professor Stewart in a while so I'm broke," Justin said. "I have three hundred pokedollars!" Ashton exclaimed pulling out the money.
"Oh yeah. The money from the fishing competition, right?" Justin asked. "Yep! Remember? I was the grand winner!" Ashton said. "Awesome! I'll pay for Blastoise as a thank you," Okotsu said. Ashton and Okotsu handed the guard the money and the guard opened the gate. Ashton, Justin, Okotsu, and Blastoise all walked through the gate and made their way to the ruins.
They got to an open space full of tourists who were taking pictures of the old stones. "Wow. I didn't expect so many people," Ashton said. "Me neither. I guess old ruins are really popular," Justin said.
They walked down the path and saw a huge stone with ancient writing on it. There were a bunch of people around it. "For anyone who can correctly read this stone, we'll give you a free meal and prize!" A worker announced. "Wow really? Justin can you read it?" Ashton asked. Justin shook his head.
Okotsu walked to the stone and read it. "The stone says The Unown Cave is near!" Okotsu said. "Correct! We have our winner!" The worker said, lifting Okotsu's arm. "Wow Okotsu, you can read that?" Ashton asked. "Yeah. My mom's an archeologist. She's taken me to her work before and taught me how to read simple writing like this," Okotsu answered.
"So here's your meal in a picnic basket and here's your prize. A free ticket to see the kimono girls in Ecruteak City. It work for you and you can bring as many guests as you want," the worker said, handing the basket and ticket to Okotsu. "Thanks. Where is Ecruteak City though?" Okotsu asked. Ashton pulled out his Pokegear and looked at the map. "Ecruteak City is a couple cities away," Ashton said.
"I see. So it'll take some time before we get there. Well then we'd better get going. I can see the exit of this place!" Justin said. The trainers walked to the exit on the other side of the ruins and walked out. They were out of the ruins and now in a huge field. "Were really close to Azalea Town," Ashton said.
The trainers started walking through the field and through really tall grass. They moved some grass out of the way and saw a Pokemon. It was a small green bug Pokemon.
Ashton pulled out his Pokedex and scanned the Pokemon.
"Spinarak, the string spit Pokemon. It lies still in the same web, waiting for it's unsuspecting prey to wander close," The Pokedex read.
"I wanna catch it!" Okotsu said, stepping forward. He handed Ashton the picnic basket and prepared a Pokeball. "Let's go!" Okotsu said, throwing the PokeBall at Spinarak. The ball absorbed it and started shaking.
The ball shook three times and glowed green. "Yes! A new Pokemon!" Okotsu said happily. He grabbed the PokeBall and put it in his bag. "Right let's sit down and eat, then head to Azalea Town," Ashton said. The other trainers nodded and sat down in the grass. Okotsu opened the basket and the trainers started eating.
Once they were finished, they got up and continued down the path to Azalea Town. Eventually they got to the entrance of the town. "Yes! We made it!" Ashton exclaimed. "Yep. Here is where we'll get out next gym badge. Let's go guys," Justin said. The three boys and Blastoise walked into the town and walked towards their next adventure.
