Chapter 198. Special Ability

" So, did you find anything out?"

The day had ended without much of a hassle. Sure, Emily and Ruby for some reason seemed off, but I don't think that counts strictly as a " hassle". Dinner was delicious as usual. What was unusual was just how lively our dining table had become. With Delcan, Charlotte and Princess Alice all recounting their adventures of the day while they were out, the table was lively. I wished Ellie and Wendy could join us as well, but they insisted on not joining for some reason. A part of me suspects that it might have to do with the fact all 3 of these guests of mine are foreign Royalty but I can't confirm or deny it for them. Maybe I'll ask them when I get a moment?

" Some things, but first, I need Anna to check with her eyes as well as the eyes of the Goddesses to make sure we don't have anyone watching us that are divine. This is a direct request from Angela in order to fill you both in."

The conversation I was currently having was after Sarah, Anna and I had bathed and were sitting in our room. Of course, as soon as Janet made sure we safely made it to our room, Sarah and Anna sat next to me and began to question me about what I had found out from Angela. Remembering her words, I turned to Anna and asked her to check with everything. Sarah poked my cheek to try and get my attention as we waited for Anna's response. In time, she gave us an answer.

" We're fine, the Goddesses tell me that we're safe from any eyes that I can't find. I imagine that fills the conditions that Angela has made?"

" I think that works."

We sat for a moment, and we enjoyed some of the tea that Brenda brewed tonight. It seems that of the 3 younger maids that had begun working here when we first moved here, have started to branch out into other skills besides cleaning. In this case, Janet is overseeing their growth and teaching them how to brew the perfect cup of tea now. I have to be honest; I think Catherine is currently the best brewer out of the 3. I wonder what Ashley and Brenda will do next to try and 1 up Catherine.

" Now that we've tried the tea, shall we move on?"

Sarah is impatient about what I've learned, I suppose it makes sense. But to be honest, Angela didn't truly tell me much.

" Well, here it goes."

I started to explain everything to Sarah and Anna, once I was done, Anna was the first to speak, surprisingly.

" So that's why I sensed you so far away!"

" Huh?"

" I guess you weren't lying."

I was confused by Anna's remark. She seemed to understand that I was confused by her, Sarah seemed to know what Anna was talking about.

" During our sparring today, Anna froze and took a look to the east, I accidentally struck her since we were in the middle of a clash. When she caught her breath, she said that she felt you were far away from us. I checked on your location with my own abilities and I found you were in the same position as always when you meditate. She swore up and down that you moved but I thought I just caught her."

" So, when Angela brought me here to speak to me, that's when you felt me. Sorry it made you lose Anna. I'll have to make it up to you. Maybe I should start having some cheesecake with our tea? Would that be good?"

Anna thought for a moment and then she seemed to come to a conclusion that she wants something else.

" I'd rather have a date..."

" Okay."

" What about me? I won the fight!?"

" You can have the next date."
