Chapter 365. Sarah's And Anna's Support To The Alliance

" Well, I didn't mean to embarrass you, Little Alice. Besides, we're all here in hopes to marry him in the future, you'll need to get used to physical contact with him as your Husband, you know?"

" That's not the point, Mary! If we're spotted by people who don't know, he'd be looked at as a cheater and I'd be looked at as a homewrecker!"

" But polygamy is okay in Diablos, isn't it? Wouldn't they just assume that the both of you were in the courting process? Honestly, all of these rules make this situation so difficult. Also, it doesn't help that our Little Lord is so straightlaced... Though I suppose that makes the reward all the better?"

" This and that are separate issues... Gods..."

Once both Mary and Alle had finished their little back and forth, they both sipped on their tea. Alice did it to calm down, and Mary did it to calm her frustration. It's the day after John had finished taking each of the Royal Families around Paradise. With that, the current members of the alliance that's available have met up for a meeting. my Mother along with Charlotte's and Alle's Mothers also wanted to join us, but they have to plan for the Summit in a few days. From the reports that the girls have given at each meeting, it's safe to say that John had gotten closer to each, but platonically. While this can help build a solid foundation moving forward, Anna and I know for a fact that he only views it as him being friendly to Alle and Charlotte, while with Cyn, he's treating her like a little sister. I feel as if the fact that they're all Princesses are what's harming their chances currently, since so far, Anna and I can see that Emily and Ruby are slowing solidifying their presence in his heart. He's begun trusting Emily and Ruby with more and more information, something he's only done with Anna and me. Sure, he still holds back his more honest opinions about certain things, but they're the first people he's really opened up to since we were training for the Hero's Party.

" However, you were able to hold onto his hand for quite some time, right Alle?"

" Yeah..."

" Well, he didn't shake you off or anything, did he? That's good in a way, it means he doesn't dislike your touch, you should take advantage of that. Whenever I tried to touch him, he'd find a way to dodge it, like we were sparring or something..."

" Cyn..."

Cyn tried to lift Alle's spirits, its true as well. John's always been very untrusting when it comes to other people, the fact that he's allowed Alle to touch him is a big deal. When it comes to Cyn however, it's more to do with the fact that he views her as his Sister-In-Law. Because of that, he accidently stops any attempt Cyn makes to get more intimate with him. And then...

" Well... How nice... Holding hands..."

Charlotte's regretful voice rang out to the rest of the table. While Alle and Cyn were fretting over physical touch, Charlotte was depressed for a different reason.

" To think... I had to gather the soldiers for an emergency drill... If only Mother had let me know ahead of time..."

Unfortunately, Charlotte had to work on the day assigned to the Nyx Family day trip. Because of that, she's been quite sad, from what I understand though, John had made a very positive impression with the more personal tour of the city. Having a good impression with her parents could still be seen as a win in her book, however. I mean, he's told me himself that aside from the fact that they're both a King and a Queen, he really doesn't have too much of an opinion of Uncle Alan and Aunt Aria. Meanwhile he reiterated some of the funnier moments that had happened while walking King Leonard and Queen Crystal around the city, this includes King Leonard burning his tongue on some melted cheese. While he still feels that barrier of them being Royalty, Queen Crystal has said that she's been doing her damnedest to have them breakthrough it to help Charlotte's chances with him. I'd say they're moving in the right direction. Charlotte is as well, her place in our lives has gotten to the point where John waits for her to arrive at the mansion before we have dinner every night. There's progress for everyone, it's just that everyone is so close and watching over every minute detail that they fail to see just how close they've all gotten to him. Anna and I are the only ones to see it.
