Chapter 297. Anna's First Few Strikes

/WHOOSH!/

Sarah grabbed John by his head, and they flew away at great speed. On their way to the trees to the left of where we were. As they flew quickly through the air, they approached the black and green sphere that housed our enemy. John's hand slapped the sphere as they flew through the sky and a crack formed on the sphere... No, it's more like an egg.

/CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!/

More cracks formed on the black and green egg and then the head of our enemy erupted from the top of the egg.

" What is going on with him now?"

Alice asked the question we all wanted to know the answer to. The God Of The Blackwoods walked out of the egg, his black robe was now green, and his body seemed to have black wooden spikes growing out of it. The spikes came out of different places, it came mostly out of his torso, both from his chest and back, it seemed to form a kind of armor for his torso. Along with that, the spikes also came out of his forearms, and they seemed to form a small lance on each arm for him to use as weapons. If this new form of his was made for close combat, I'm glad he decided to try using this while we had Lady Kina and Lady Diana on our side, since they can use their magic to distract and possibly harm him while the frontliners attack him. Meanwhile for me...

" You can still use us! Just power up with Unnie and you can fight that guy!"

" You can use me to, Anna!"

" But, Natty, you only boost her magic and magic defenses mostly, Unnie can boost her attack!"

" She can still use some of my magic!"

" Oh, for crying out loud! Just use Underworld and then promise to use Natty during your hunting and sparring trips!"

" Rivy, you don't need to act like that..."

" Earth, we're in a battle with one of those betrayers, we need to strike hard and strike fast! We can't waste our time being indecisive just because someone picked our contractor at birth!"

" Rivy, you don't need to yell at Ethy."

My contracted Goddesses didn't seem to agree on which abilities I should use. I decide to just role with the Underworld Goddess's mana for now, since it's served us so well.

/Woosh./

Dark purple mana with hints of black and white spots raises out of my body like a raging flame before calming down and covering me like another layer of skin.

" Oh, that mana? Are you going to imbue our weapons to?"

Alice spoke to me after I had finished regulating the mana.

" I can't, I don't have enough mana to do it. I barely have enough to support this channeling spell."

 Alice didn't like my answer, but she seemed to understand it. She readied her one blade, the other must've been broken during the fighting. A shame since she seemed quite comfortable with 2 swords.

/Ding!/

" Enveloping complete."

With the silence that came as our enemy rose from his egg, I was able to hear the sound of the magic completion announcement. The name of the spell that I use to summon the Goddesses manas is called " Mana Enveloping", it's the first spell that I had access to as a Divine Channeler. And of course, it was the Goddess of Nature's mana that I was able to use first. She quickly explained how to use Divine Channeler to me Then she quickly asked her friends to join her in being contracted to me. That's how I was able to contract with the Goddesses of the Earth and the Underworld so fast. But anyways, after I use the skill, an alarm goes through my head once the spell is completed. The time it's taken to activate has shortened significantly from when I started, I have Sarah and our training sessions to thank for that. Now that it's all set, I'm ready for battle. Alice and I walked over to the others as the God Of The Blackwoods took his first steps out of the egg that he was caged in when we arrived here.
