/CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!/

" What an irritating insect. You realize I can tell that your time is almost up, right?"

" Quick talking before I slash your tongue."

/CLANG!/

" And then there's you, Scum."

As Count Gorse attacked from the front, I tried to sneak attack him from behind, but he used his free hand to raise his forearm to defend my punch. There was a loud sound that the gauntlet that blocked my punch made. The pain in my fist I felt would usually make me wince in pain, but I think because of the spell from Count Tye, I felt fine.

" You try and try and try again. But you won't ever be good enough to actually harm me!"

/THUMP!/

With speed that I found hard to keep track of, I was punched... Slapped? Flicked? I couldn't really tell; did he get faster all of a sudden? I thought about this as I flew a few feet back but kept my stance. Did he decide to focus on his speed instead of damage? Why?

/CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!/

It doesn't matter, I need to get back and help Gordon fight the God Of The Blackwoods. I run quickly to attack as Gordon and our enemy clash blades. I need something stronger than a punch; I need a way to harm him, and I need to be able to do it quickly. My mana, I've been able to spread it to my feet, but I haven't learned any skills related to it. To be fair, I haven't hit anyone with a kick while I have my mana channeled into it. But I wonder if instead of my feet, I try channeling it to my elbows and knees instead? I mean, Elbows and Knees are dangerous to. There're whole martial arts dedicated to using them back in my world. It's worth a shot, at least at this point, it has to be.

/CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!/

They continue to slash at each other, and they continue to block and parry with their swords, I'm surprised that Gordon's sword has been able to block against the sword that The God Of The Blackwoods has been using. I mean, it harmed Scarlet just from its touch. Maybe it has something special about it that I don't know? Or maybe the sword that our enemy uses has some special effect against Cursed Items? Regardless, I start to channel my mana into my elbows and knees, it looks like it's effective, I can feel the areas strengthening as the mana flows.

/CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!/

" I've got you now! It's over for you!"

Our enemy shouts at Gordon as he attempts a sword slash against him, I notice that the red aura around me is beginning to flicker, so I realize I need to attempt this as quickly as possible. I aim an elbow at the back of the God Of The Blackwood, not just for the victory that we're fighting for, but to save Gordon from being struck down by our enemy's sword.

/BANG!/

Finally, I landed a blow! And it seemed to land with some impact.

/WHOOSH! CRASH!/

/DING!/

That familiar alert filled my ears as I pushed the notification away as I watched the God's body bounce on and off the ground. I turned to Gordon, and I saw that his red aura was also blinking.

" It's running out, isn't it?"

" Seems so, at this point we only have around a minute left."

Gordon calmly confirmed what I thought was happening. Now that I know it's happening, it's time to push the pace and try to finish this as soon as possible.
