Cynthia Dreadnaught's Point Of View
" Yes, I'd like answers about that as well. It made no sense to me why they would attack the Humans, even more so why they would do so in the guise of your people."
" I've been wanting an answer to that since I first read your letter, King Warrick. I appreciate it a lot. For too long have my ancestors fought with those snooty moon ears and now they want to use our color as a disguise to attack people near our new home. It took some time to calm my rage enough to write my reply."
" Heh..."
My Father and King Leonard had been speaking for a few minutes now, I didn't really pay too much attention to them as I've been busy observing her, Princess Charlotte. Big Sis told me that she's joined the alliance, but this is the first time I've seen her. She's alluring to say the least. Her long white hair that was currently tied into a ponytail like me showed her well-toned shoulders and neck, her dark golden eyes like her father's were spellbinding to look at. Her chest was a little bigger than mine were, but she was still dwarfed by Sarah and Anna. The amber colored dress she wore was perfect for the occasion. The dark color played well with her hair and eye color... She's a worthy rival for any woman... And now she was mine for John's attention... How are Big Sis and Anna able to just accept all of these women into his life? I don't understand it? Though I guess I should be thankful.
" You weren't the only one. When I heard that they tried to attack travelers on my land... And my Son-In-Law at that... Well, they should be thankful that I only heard about it long after they were gone. But we shouldn't spend too much time on the past. I think we need to discuss the future to, King Leonard. In particular the Summit you've wished to have."
" Yes, I guess we should, it doesn't make too much sense to worry over the event... The " why", however, does tend to make me think about a few things."
" Well, I hope you can figure out how to make them into questions like I've had to, I've sent the request for a Summit to Alfheim and they've responded to instead hold it near the end of summer of this year. I'd say sometime between late in the 8th month or beginning of the 9th month. Would that work for you?"
" The month of blood and the month of wind, aye? Yes, I suppose it can work for us. What do you think from the request of them?"
" I believe they want some time to put things in order, if I'm being charitable, I'd say they want to honestly prepare for the travel..."
" And if we're being realistic, they're preparing for a war, aren't they?"
" Yes, I find that to be a plausible reason. Our spies have seen that they've been buying up wheat and other similar crops as well as concentrating their heavy hitters in the capital of Alfheim."
" Keeping everything in Norn... Some things never change, I suppose..."
Everyone in the room simply followed the conversation of the two Kings sitting in front of each other. I believe that everyone except for the Kings and Queens in the room were shocked to hear that another war could potentially break out. I was the first to be able to speak out... Before I would've been too shy, but I already exploded and argued against King Leonard when he and my Mother spoke about Matthew's growth, so now, it seems less scary for some reason? Is it because I know Mother and Father are here? Or that Big Sis is in the next room? These questions may have gone through my head, but the first question I had to ask left my lips almost like they were in a rush to be heard.
" Father, you've never mentioned that this could result in a war before, why?"
My Father turned from King Leonard and looked at me before he answered.
