Chapter 353. Schools, Sneaking And Inquiries

/Creak.../

" Don't you think it's strange to be sneaking into a place we built?"

" Usually, but you've seen what happens if someone sees me just walking about, I just want to see how the classes are going, it's been a week since they began after all."

" He has a point, Sarah. Do you really want to have to run away from a crowd again?"

" No... But still... I don't think it's right that we need to pretend that we're some kind of thieves entering a school, you know?"

" I'm sure things will calm down eventually, it's just that everyone is still happy to see us back after all this time, whether we like it or not, we'll be walking around with Anna's Family when they come here anyways. So, it's just for now, okay?"

" Fine..."

Sarah eventually gave in to what Anna and I wanted. To put it simply, we've snuck into our new school, Paradise Acadamy. I decided that the place needed a name besides just " The Acadamy". So, I decided to just name it after the city that it's located in, everyone seemed to be fine with it... After I convinced everyone in the mansion that naming it Drake Acadamy was definitely not happening of course. Having said all of that, today was the first time I've actually stepped foot into the building, I've only had my imagination and the blueprints that I handed off to the construction team's boss. At first, I acted as a " Boss" to the construction team since I was the one leading the remodeling of the town roads and its walls and also directing them on which houses to fix up. But once I finished all of the remodeling of the roads and walls, I decided to actually establish a company and hired on all of the builders that I worked with signed on so that they had official jobs. After a lot of deliberation, I decided to have the company establish itself as a private company as opposed to a government funded company. I thought this meant that the employees and business would have more freedom in what projects they wanted to take as a company, but they seemed to think I was abandoning them. In response to that, I ended up owning the majority stake in the company. At first, I wanted to only own 50% since I was the one creating the company, then I was going to sell my shares to which ever employees showed the best intentions towards the company's wellbeing. But that was put to a stop when all of them, including Tonis, the Demon I chose to lead the company as its first official boss, all lined up and handed me a piece of paper with their terms in it. More or less, I'd own 51% of the company, I wasn't allowed to sell my stocks for the next 5 years, and if I do, I can only sell them to either current or future employees. I just sighed at them as I signed the paper.

" Ah, how nice."

Anna took a look at the centerpiece of the lobby, a glass ceiling that lets the morning sun illuminate the entire lobby, in the center of the lobby is a desk with a receptionist along with a statue behind the desk of a few of the Gods of the Faith Of The Dark Gods, the official Religion of Diablos. For the Human students, I originally had a decent sized statues of a few of the more " tolerant" Gods from the Teachings Of The Light Gods. It was only after putting it up, that Emily tapped me on the shoulder and informed me that most of Aethis was agnostic and thought more fondly of what would be considered " Pagan" Religions. When I tried to ask more about it, she just told me that Aethis was mostly private about their beliefs since the government might attempt a witch hunt over it. With that, I realized I wasted time making the Gods from the Teachings Of Light. So, instead of tearing it down, I just had the sculptor remake the Gods into something that would be more... Me... And I haven't heard the end of it since.

" I didn't know you cared so much, John! You could always just visit me more instead of making statues of me! But your feelings are definitely noted..."

Angela couldn't help but comment to me again as we passed by her statue. She's been teasing me off and on ever since I ordered the remodel of the statue. With how much she's helped me so far, and I'm sure will continue helping me in the future, a decent sized statue is the least I could do. I thought that the teasing was done for the past couple months, but it appears that she was just busy in people's court trying to win me a reward, as she stated and showed me yesterday. Sure, I don't know what the Blessing does, but I know it's something good, since Angela wouldn't ever hurt me.
