Chapter 352. Angela's Hard-Fought Reward

After walking out of the mansion after I finished the paperwork with Emily and Ruby, I walked into my garden. I was followed by Brick and Heather behind me. It was decided that since so many people have begun to enter and leave Paradise, that the important figures of the town needed 24/7 guards when leaving their homes. I argued that I was just stepping into the garden, but they looked as if I was crazy and proceeded to follow behind me. I'm beginning to wonder if my employees even take their boss seriously anymore? I feel like it was only yesterday when they were looking at me with reverence when they won their tournaments. Deep down, I know it's because they care, but still, it's only going into my garden. I was met with mixed emotions as I walked through the garden looking for my meditation spot, the reason why my emotions were mixed was caused by the noise that now permeated the town. The hustle and bustle of tourists and merchants filled my ears, the voices of happy kids and parents are mixed with the voices of people haggling. I hope the work finishes soon, since the sun is beginning to fully set over the horizon to the west of us. I make my way to the meditation spot, and I notice that the sounds from all around have quieted down, I wonder why? Maybe someone cast some kind of sound proofing magic on this area? Regardless, I sat down and got comfortable, as did Brick and Heather. Then I said the words.

" Divine Contact."

I mutter the words, and I feel the gravity that keeps me on the ground disappear and then I feel myself begin to rise into the air. I open my eyes to see myself from above as well as the siblings standing guard... Why is Heather walking so close to me? She... She's poking my cheek?

" Heather, I can see you doing that..."

It seems I scared her off. It's strange, I couldn't feel it happening, but I can see it right before my eyes, this ability is so strange. More or less, it works like a phone call when I use it.
