Anna Ericsson's Point Of View
Healing him is taking longer than I expected. To think his exhaustion had reached this great of a level. I've been healing him for only 15 minutes, but it feels even longer, the amount of mana I had to use has basically run me dry. I won't be able to join the rest of the fight and be useful if this continues. Thankfully, I've finally been able to bring him to a sense of security with my healing. While it's not as good as his Holy Heal, my Natural Healing spell still has a great effect on him. His breathing has slowed to a calm sleep. While I'd like to allow him to rest, that black forest tells me that we need to hurry along so we could help Sarah. With the rest of my spell finally finished, it was time to move onto the next step of waking him up. I quickly use the secret move I accidently found out about during the week after I was assigned his personal maid. I move my fingers towards his face and touch his cheek with them. I then pinch his cheek between my thumb and index finger.
" Master, wake up!"
I speak softly but with a bit of an urgent tone.
" Hmmm.... 5 more minu..... Oh shit!"
John sits up with the speed of a hunter. He turns his head looking at me and then looking towards the black forest that had sprouted up a little under 10 minutes ago.
" Anna, what's going on? Where's Sarah and the God Of The Blackwoods?"
He quickly looks to me for answers, and I give him them with the same speed he asked me with.
" Sarah is fighting the God by herself to buy me time to heal you. After they fought for a bit, the God Of The Blackwoods summoned that forest and I don't know what's happened past that, since I was focused on healing you. Also, I did a preliminary check on Count Gorse and he's simply sleeping and tired, he wasn't exhausted like you for whatever reason."
" That would be because he's used to the spell I cast on them. Blood Of The Cursed Ones is a great support spell as it boosts the ability of everyone by around 5x their normal ability, but the cost is great as you can see. I hoped that the battle would've ended by now, but unfortunat-"
" Sweetie!"
Count Tye had appeared and tried to explain the aftereffects of his spell, but he was pushed out of the way without much fanfare by Lady Diana. Who then proceeded to rest Count Gorse on her lap... A lap pillow! How could I have been so clumsy as to not give John one as well!?
" Are you sure he'll be okay!? He's never stretched himself so thin with that spell before! He's always ended whatever fight he was in, in a move or two!"
Count Diana looked at me for confirmation of my diagnosis, I nodded my head in the hope that it would bring her some comfort.
" Lady Anna, is Lady Sarah okay in there?"
Lady Kina looked at the black forest as she spoke. Considering the performance of all of us so far, it's a valid concern, but Sarah should be fine even being inside of the forest. She's not just our frontliner for show. She's the best warrior of our group currently and could even fight to a standstill with Ruby if they were just using their weapons. Having said all of that, I'd rather John and I both being there to help with her fight.
" Sarah is fine."
John answered Lady Kina's question with a calm confidence in his voice.
" How can you be sure, Matthew?"
Count Sark whose arm had stopped bleeding, yet he continued to glow with a blood red glow around him had also arrived with his wife and Lady Diana, asked John how he could be so sure. John looked at him with a look that said he didn't know why Count Sark even asked him that question.
