Chapter 246. Hallway Fight 1

In front of us was Princess Alice, Wendy, Ellie and Lady Cindy all walking to the right of us, blood was coming out of Princess Alice's nose and her pant leg was getting caught under her foot as she walked down the hall. 

" Wendy? Ellie?"

" Alle!?"

Sarah and Anna both spoke as I tried to absorb and make sense of what I was seeing.

" Why are all of their eyes red!?"

I said the first thing that came to my mind. They're like Baron Fracks's eyes!

" This is not good!"

I rush and cast Barrier to stop them from walking further and further down the hallway.

/Crack!/

A shattering sound accompanied my Barrier's destruction.

" Who-"

Before I could finish my words, a flash of moonlight made a trail in the dimly lit hallway, I guarded with Scarlet's blade.

/CLANG!/

" Hm? Good reflexes for a young one."

As my sword clashed with the person who attacked me, Anna was the first to speak as our swords started moving back and forth trying to push the other down.

" Pete!"

I looked at his face as I was the closest to him... Red eyes like the others.

" He wants you all! Walk!"

Pete's shout caused the girls to begin their walk again.

" My Love!"

Sarah calls to me, unfortunately I can't look back or answer, this guy's strong... Weirdly strong for what he looks like. He's so slim and non-threatening, where is this power coming from?

" Still struggling? I see why you've caused such discomfort to him."

" Who is he!?"

I figured since he'd already talked, I may as well see if he'd answer a question. The removal of his sword and jumping back tells me he wasn't going to. Great, he's blocking us from stopping the girls.

" Darling!"

" My Love!"

Sarah and Anna come to my side. That brings me comfort as I think about what I can do.

" Excuse me, dear guests, I'm apparently more talkative when I'm like this."

A smile full of glee revealed shining sharp teeth that could puncture armor if given the chance.

" Why are you stopping us, Pete? Even if you do, we can just tell everyone what you and master have been up to."

" No, you won't."

/Click! Crash! Crackle! Slash!/

Pete swings his sword and the momentum started to affect the hallway. the sounds of slashes reverberated from Pete's location and deep cut marks began to appear on the walls and floor as it approached my wives and me.

" Barrier!"

I make a Barrier in front of us for protection.

" Barrier!"

I place another on top of the one I already made.

" Barrier!"

I triple up since I had the time.
