After he swung through the city, Spider-Man hopped by the Stark residence again. She wasn't there. By the time he got there, the rest of the house was already dead asleep, but there was really one other place where Y/n could be – he didn't need to ask. So he swung to Y/n's facility. The lights were on. He wanted to sneak inside, a little romance, but that wouldn't end well for him with the top security. "Hello, Spider-Man," Friday said and opened the door. "Hi, uh... is Y/n here?" Peter questioned.
Y/n walked around in one of Peter's old sweatpants and a T-shirt that was probably Peter's too. Her hair hung loosely over her shoulders. The tablet was in her hands, and tapping on the screen rapidly. He knocked on the doorframe so he wouldn't scare her. She still jumped a little at the sudden sound. "It's you." She sighed in relief. Her lips curled into a smile, and she looked back down at her tablet. Peter pulled his mask off his head, his hair a tangled mess, no doubt. "What are you doing here?" He walked toward her closet to grab an extra pair of clothes. He wanted to bring his backpack but decided against it last minute. "Preparing some last things. How was patrol?" Peter slipped out of his suit and put on a jumper Y/n had in her closet, followed by some comfortable sweats. "This guy tried to steal a car. I webbed him to the door. You should've seen his face." He chuckled. Being Spider-Man again for a night actually brought him a little bit of comfort. His grin had effect on her mood, too. "Didn't see me coming. It was fun." He added excitedly. Y/n walked past him and kissed his cheek. "I'm glad to hear that." She tapped on her screen again. Peter sat on her bed and looked at her lovingly. "You?" Y/n shrugged. "I saw Ned and MJ." She saw their friends? He didn't expect her to say that. "You did?" She nodded and put her device away. She stood in front of Peter and combed her hands through his hair.

Peter shut his eyes and let out a long sigh. His shoulders relaxed under her touch. "Asked them to keep an eye on you," Y/n told him. His friends were more than happy to do so. "Keep an eye on me?" That goofy boyish grin on his face. "Yeah... making sure someone's here to look after you while I'm away." His curls were so soft, she could play with them forever. And her boyfriend wasn't complaining either. If anyone saw them like this, they would think they're just a normal pair. No superheroes, no technology. "I don't like the plan, Y/n," Peter admitted. "I don't want you to sit with them all day. What if they hurt you?" These were some of the most dangerous villains they've faced over the last years. Y/n's going to waltz in there and expect them to buy everything that she's selling them. She's a good liar, but fooling them that badly? They're not idiots. "I don't like it either, Pete. I'm not going back now, though. "Everything's ready. Dad's put the last few things in the shed. They'll be over with a drone in a few hours. No one will notice. If we're lucky, one of the two will come by again to intimidate us, and then we'll get a bite straight away, no problem." Still, Peter didn't look very convinced. She brushed her fingers over that little soft spot behind his ears. "Nat taught me everything I know. I'll be fine. I can double agent. Your girlfriend's gonna be super cool." She chuckled. Peter smiled. "She is. Just... I just wish we wouldn't have to." His hands rested on her hips first, but he wrapped his arms around her legs. He rested his chin against her stomach and looked up at her. "Walking into the lion's den... I don't like it."

"You don't have to. But don't worry about it. You look sleepy. Why don't you lie down? I'll be done in a moment." Peter's big eyes followed her almost desperately as she parted from him. Like a child reaching for his stuffed animal. "Alone?" He pouted. "I gotta wrap this up." But her face didn't lie. Her eyes had turned a little red from exhaustion, with little dark circles forming under her eyes, and her cheeks flushed. "Really?" Y/n walked toward her bathroom, with her tablet in her hands again. Peter considered it for a few seconds but stood up for himself. Y/n heard his footsteps behind her but didn't look up from her screen. Her concentration didn't last long, though. Her boyfriend took the tablet from her and placed it on the toilet lid. "Pete... Peter!" She squealed when he lifted her over his shoulder like she weighed nothing. He carried her back to bed, lay her down, and got on top of her. He almost pressed his full weight onto her as he lay down. "No more work." He mumbled. Y/n laughed and combed her fingers through his curls again. "I wanna do this last thing -" But she couldn't remove him. She let out a happy sigh. "I wanna soak up all the girlfriend affection I can get." He told her. It felt really nice to have her boyfriend snuggle into her like she was his teddy bear. Thinking back to it, Y/n never expected herself to get together with someone like Peter. But somehow it made sense. Who wants someone to be rude when they can have a cuddle bear like Peter Parker? Y/n wrapped her arms around the boy and kissed his head. No more work today. Fine. Can't complain about this. "You soak up all you want." She grinned. Peter feared that he would miss her again for God knows how long.
