The two of us finished our preparations later in the evening. Now we had returned to the castle and currently sat in what appeared to be an office room.
Capitano placed the supplies down on a large table and began to go through it all. Checking to ensure that we had gathered everything for tomorrow.
He had gotten the essentials like food and water. It was almost like we were going on some large excursion.
But Capitano didn't explain much perhaps he was used to being sent out on missions like these so he must have already known what to expect.
I on the other hand had no idea.
So I watched him carefully as he picked through everything. He was mumbling a checklist to himself and had split all the supplies equally.
I leaned on my arms poking at some of the items.
"Do we really need all of this?"
Capitano stopped his mumbling and glanced up at me.
"Yes." He replied, "You'll understand when its time."
"Even that knife? Even though you've probably got a massive sword?"
I picked up the small knife off the table and examined it closely.
Capitano was very patient with me, "Yes. A sword can only do so much."
I touched the blade running a finger along it.
"Be careful its sharp."
I nodded my head just looking at it.
I guess it could have its uses as well. If my hands were tied I wasn't going to be able to use a sword to free them. Well, depending on the circumstances anyway. Not that I had a sword to use. The only weapon I had were my hands actually. Which wasn't much, but it was better than nothing. These hands could conjure up some pretty scary powers.
I placed the knife back down on the table and Capitano put it in my pack.
"Huh thats for me?"
Capitano nodded.
"Arent you worried I might try to kill you in your sleep?"
