Scott was now outside with Avi, where he'd just jumped into one of the lines to do some of the exercises, just because he wanted to.

At some point they took a break for lunch, which was eaten in what looked like a small cafeteria, attached to the kitchen.

Albert, the commander, and a few select others, ate in a different room that looked more like a large living room.

The Pentatonix Pack was also invited into this room, but while the others filed in, Scott waited for Mitch to come out of the kitchen, because he'd been assigned to watching them cook lunch and helping out with whatever he could.

Once Mitch came out of the kitchen with a plate of food for both himself and Scott, they sat in the cafeteria with everyone else, rather than in the other room with their pack.

Scott simply said that he didn't want to accept any special treatment until he felt that he deserved it.

Mitch argued, of course.

But when Scott made his final decision by sitting down in the cafeteria, Mitch obviously wasn't going anywhere.

Mitch felt as though everyone was looking at them, but he was probably right. He looked up at Scott, sitting across from him. "Alpha?"

Scott looked up quickly, finishing what he was eating. "Yes, baby?"

"Can I sit by you? Like... Next to you?"

"Of course you can, honey."

After Mitch moved, taking his plate with him, he nestled into Scott's side.

Scott put his arm over him casually, as if it belonged there. "What's wrong? Are you feeling overwhelmed?"

"Sort of. I really like my job though. The Omega running the kitchen is really nice. She told me that I can do whatever I want during the day, as long as I help with lunch, and then clean tables after that meal. That's all."

"Oh, that's good. I'm glad to hear that. That means you can hang out with me all day." Scott smiled down at him, before reaching over and feeding Mitch some of his food.

Mitch finished chewing and then nodded. "Mhmm. And they're all like... They'd never seen a male Omega before until they saw me and Allie."

"Well, you guys are pretty rare, y'know."

"I know. It's just weird... I don't know." He tried to brush off his feelings, not really knowing what he was talking about. "People are staring at you."

Scott looked around once, before turning back to his food. "Yeah. And?"

"It doesn't bother you?"

"I'm trying to ignore it, honestly."

Mitch frowned. "Do we have to work every single day?"

"I don't know, baby. I'm sorry. You don't want to work?"

"No. Not really. I mean... The job itself isn't bad. But I just want to hang out with you all day. Like when we went to the beach, and Vegas... And I want to get married. But we won't have time if we're here."

Scott leaned down to kiss Mitch's temple. "Honey... I'll make time. I promise."

"And how can Kirstie pass the test if she doesn't have time to study? And if she passes the test, how will they take care of their baby if they're here?" Mitch added.

Scott squeezed him a little closer to himself. "Baby, calm down. It's okay. Everything is going to work out. Don't you worry your pretty little head."

Mitch giggled, looking down to his food again. "Okay. I won't."

Scott grinned and kissed Mitch's jaw once, before returning to his own food as well.

After a few seconds of silence, Scott heard Mitch mumble something. He bent down a little so Mitch could speak directly into his ear, to be heard in the loud cafeteria. "What was that, honey? I'm sorry, I missed it."

"I said they must all be jealous of me."

Scott pulled back to give him a disbelieving look. "What? Why?"

"To have the strongest Alpha in the world kiss me every ten seconds... I'm the luckiest Omega that ever existed." Mitch answered with a giggle.

Scott smiled, eyes darting down to Mitch's lips for a second. "I know this isn't the best time for this... But your cute, little giggle makes my heart stop. It's so cute."

Mitch giggled again, a light blush on his cheeks. "Well, thank you, kind Sir."

Avi came up behind Scott all of a sudden, setting a hand on his shoulder before leaning down to talk to him. "When you guys are done eating, go into that back room, okay? I have to ask you something."

Scott nodded once, looking down at his plate and deciding he could be done.

Avi walked away, and then Scott looked over at Mitch's plate, glad to see it was empty.

Scott stood and grabbed both plates, walking them back over to the kitchen and into the sink. While he was over there, he helped an Omega get something out of a tall cabinet, as the short Omega was struggling to do so.

He then walked back towards Mitch, eyes on the ground so he wouldn't see everyone looking at him.

Scott reached a hand out for Mitch, helping him out of his seat before leading him towards the other room, in which Avi had requested their presence.

Alex and Kirstie were on the couch in front of the television, and Kirstie immediately waved Mitch over.

Mitch gave Scott a smile, and then skipped over to the other Omegas, plopping himself down on Alex's lap, before striking up a conversation and eliciting bright smiles from both of the other Omegas.

Scott walked over to Avi, to stand beside him.

Avi pushed his insecurities aside to gesture at Scott to bend a little to get his ear closer to Avi's mouth so Avi could speak to him clearly, even with the loud volume of the room.

Scott understood immediately, setting a hand on Avi's back before leaning down to listen to him.

Avi spoke into his ear. "No one can stop talking about you. I hope you understand that. And I..."

Scott moved a little closer, thinking Avi was just speaking too quietly for him to hear, even though Avi had stopped himself from speaking at all.

Avi took a deep breath. "I'm proud to call myself your Alpha. And I'm glad that all of your hard work paid off, and... I wish you could just be proud of it, and show it off. There isn't a single person in this building who isn't amazed by you, except you."

Scott moved away, standing up taller with a frown on his face. "I wouldn't say 'amazed.' But thanks."

Avi rolled his eyes. "Don't be stupid. Why are you so god damn hard on yourself?"

"I don't know."

"When we get home, I need to talk to you. Okay? I'm serious."

"Yes, Sir." Scott glanced behind him after speaking, and saw Kirstie wave him over as well.

Scott walked over slowly, sitting down when Kirstie and Mitch stood.

Kirstie sat herself in Alex's lap, so Mitch could sit with Scott.

Alex continued whatever he was saying, Kirstie laughing along with him, but honestly? All Scott could think about was marrying the small Omega in his lap.
