Kevin found Avi in Grace's room, sitting on the floor with Grace on his lap.

Kevin closed the door quietly behind him, and then sat down beside Avi, putting the plate of food on his other side. "Hey, Av."

Avi didn't look over. "Hey."

Kevin frowned, turning his head to look at him. "I just wanted to apologize for not sticking up for you. Though... I do think Alex had a good point."

"I know he did. I was wrong to yell at all of you guys like that."

Kevin didn't quite know what to say after that. But after a moment of peace, he smiled at Avi. "Was weird to see Alex, of all people, stand up to you like that."

Avi smiled a little too, and finally looked over at him. "I know. Where the Hell did that come from?"

"Maybe Todrick's confidence is finally rubbing off on him. Or Jake's teachings are finally becoming influential."

Avi hummed, and thought about that for a second. "I think he's just spending a little too much time with Mitchell."

"Could be. Or maybe it's because he's been hanging out with Kirstie. She's pretty outspoken."

Avi's smile grew at the thought of his wife. "Yeah... She is."

"Besides... If it were really because of Mitch, don't you think Scott would have a little bit of confidence by now?"

Avi chuckled a little, looking back to his child in his arms. "Good point. I've stopped trying to understand their relationship at this point, if I'm being honest. Just as long as Scott can control Mitchell enough to calm his temper, I don't care what they do."

Kevin nodded, but decided he'd rather not get into that conversation. "So.. I brought your dinner in here. I can hold Grace if you'd like."

"I'm really not hungry, Kev."

"Because you feel guilty. And you shouldn't. You have every right to be upset right now, though I don't think you should feel bad about punishing Alex and Kit. I think... They needed a quick reality check. Nonetheless, you need to eat."

Avi sighed loudly, and held his arms out to pass Grace off to him. "Fine."

Kevin moved the plate of food into Avi's reach, before taking the baby from Avi's arms and cradling her carefully. "Thank you."

"No. Thank you, Kevin."

**********

Scott had just set down a cup of hot chocolate in front of Alex, when Mitch skipped over to him to pull on his sleeve.

Scott waited for Alex to thank him, so he could ask if Alex wanted anything else, before he turned to Mitch.

Alex had simply thanked him, and then turned back to Jake, who was sitting beside him at the table.

Mitch pulled Scott's arm so he'd follow Mitch back into the kitchen, and then Mitch stopped with his back to the counter.

Scott looked down at him expectantly. "Yes..?"

"I have to ask you something."

"Alright."

"It's a big question."

"Okay..."

"Are you sure you want me to ask?"

"Mitchie, you're making me nervous. Just say it."

"Since my Heat is coming up... Can we please, please, please try for babies?"

Scott sighed, and his facial expressions fell. "Baby, we've talked about this."
