Kevin snuck out of the kitchen, and down the hall to check on Kirstie. He made sure that Avi didn't see him though.
He had a few snacks in his hands, including some pretzels and crackers. Kevin then didn't bother knocking, and snuck into the room.
Kirstie was sitting on the bed, reading a book, when she glanced up and saw him. "Hi, Kev. Were you sent to check on me? I'm fine I promise."
"No, I just..." Kevin set down the things in his hands, onto the bed. "Wanted to be sure you weren't hungry."
She grinned at him. "Kev, it's only been an hour."
"I know, but... I feel bad. I don't think this punishment is justified. And... I want to make sure that you know that. You haven't done anything wrong."
"I know." Kirstie stood up, and then walked over to hug him, thankful for the gesture. "Thank you.. I think... I think Avi just needs to punish me to be sure Mitch knows that Avi wasn't trying to be unfair to him."
"I think you're right. You're turning into quite the Beta." He chuckled a little, before pulling out of the hug.
Kirstie grinned proudly. "Really? You think so?"
"Yes. I really do."
Kirstie grabbed the bag of crackers, and started to munch on them. "Thanks, again. You should get back out there. Don't let Avi notice that you're gone."
Kevin nodded once, and turned to leave, but stopped and turned around once more. "Kit? I just wanted to tell you... I, uh. I think it's very admirable how strong you are. You're always there for everyone, and you take care of Avi better than anyone I've ever known. You're always willing to lend a hand to anyone, even if... They wouldn't do it in return."
She smiled at him, sitting back down on the bed. "That.. Just made my day. Thank you."
"You're welcome."
*********
Scott was now half asleep, chin on Mitch's shoulder, and his hands underneath the front of Mitch's shirt, just resting against Mitch's skin.
Avi had almost fallen asleep too, Alex's arm over his shoulders, as Avi was too tired to push him away.
Avi nuzzled himself into Alex's side a little more, holding onto his shirt to keep him as close as possible.
Alex just smiled at him, thinking of him like a small koala bear, that was now attached to his side. "Alpha? Are you okay?"
"Mhmm."
"Can I get you anything? Like.. A blanket or something?"
Avi looked up, his green eyes brighter due to how happy and comfortable he was. "Yes, please."
Alex nodded, and then smiled slowly. "You have to let go of me if you want me to get it."
Scott moved a little. "I can grab it."
Mitch was already up though, scurrying down the hall to grab an extra blanket in the small storage closet beside Alex and Jake's bedroom.
Scott waited for him to come back, and didn't smile until he could see his Omega again.
Mitch walked over, and threw the blanket over all of them, before slipping underneath it to sit on Scott's lap again.
Scott held him tightly again, to be sure he wouldn't leave anymore, and then leaned into Avi's side a little as he closed his eyes once more.
Avi grinned in content at the warmth, and then pulled Alex impossibly closer so he could sleep.
Mitch had vowed not to fall asleep, but eventually dozed off after Scott began rubbing comforting circles in Mitch's thigh, one of Mitch's many weaknesses.
