The Alpha And The Omega 3

Chapter 58

The group had soon after, gone to The Counsel building to work for a few hours, but after arriving they received a phone call from Albert.

Or, more accurately, Kevin received a phone call from Albert.

He told them there had been an emergency, and the workers had to go to another Counsel building a couple hours away.

 The Alpha Army was still in the building, so Avi could still do his job, but the others would have to carry their own departments by themselves.

Kevin was thrilled, to have the entire Beta Wing all for himself and Todrick.

So many books to read... So little time...

And of course Scott was thrilled too, seeing as he was the head of his department.

Also the sole member of his department, but that is beside the point.

Avi started off outside, training the army, including Jake.

Kirstie and Alex were in the kitchen, beginning their cleaning before they planned out what to make for lunch.

Mitch was busy preparing Scott a snack, because last time he saw him, Scott was in his office buried in paperwork.

Kevin offered to help him, but didn't want to leave Todrick alone in the giant library. He claimed he was worried Todrick might get lost.

Which seemed rational to Scott, so that's why he was currently alone in a large office.

He'd left the door open though, so he could hear everyone else. The sounds of others made him feel less alone, he supposes.

Scott had to stop working every now and then, when he heard something that made him smile.

Like when he heard the Betas start screaming about something exciting they found, the sound echoing down the hallway directly into his room.

Or when he could hear the Omegas laughing about something in the kitchen.

Every now and then he could hear Avi give an order outside, shouting something authoritative, as he was really getting into his role as Leader.

But his favorite distraction, was when he could smell his Omega getting closer to him, as the smaller boy walked down the hall quickly.

Scott kept his eyes down, but Mitch closed the door behind him and then set a large metal tray down on top of the paperwork Scott was attempting to finish.

Scott met his eyes for a moment, before glancing down and seeing the small snack Mitch had made for him.

Mitch stood silently, waiting for approval as he was actually a lot more nervous about Scott liking it, than he would like to admit.

Scott stood from his chair, and walked around the desk to grab him in a gentle hug. "Thank you, baby. It looks delicious."

Mitch giggled and took a small step backward. "Well, it's not just for looks. You're supposed to eat it."

"And I will. Want to share with me?"

Mitch looked over at the tray, and then smiled. "Actually... Yes, please."

And that is the story that led to Scott clearing his desk of papers so he and Mitch could both sit on the desk, the tray in the middle of them.

Mitch sat Indian style so he could face Scott, and Scott faced him as well with his legs dangling off each side of the desk, one off the front and one off the back.
