Avi and Kirstie were making dinner, Kirstie watching Avi carefully.

Avi hadn't really been thinking about it, but Kirstie kept staring at him.

He finally glanced over at her, and stopped slicing tomatoes. "Are you watching me?"

Kirstie flinched, and turned back to the bowl in front of her. "Um... No?"

"I don't believe you."

"You shouldn't. I lied. I just... I don't know. You're so good at everything and it's so unfair."

"Please. As if you aren't? Name one thing you're not good at."

"Driving."

"That's just because you've never learned how. Never been given the opportunity."

She frowned, looking down to the bowl on the counter. "Because I'm a stupid Omega."

Avi set down the knife in his hands and walked over to her. "You're not stupid, don't say that."

Kirstie pouted, refusing to look at him. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course you can."

"I know that... You're a really strict Alpha. And you very strongly believe in the A/B/O hierarchy. But... You agree that Omegas are treated sort of... Unfairly, yes? I don't mean you personally. I just mean... In society, Omegas are treated poorly."

"Of course. It's not equal. I understand that."

"Then... Why aren't we trying to fix it? Why is Kevin giving a speech about it, Scott is breaking rules, Mitch's personality is completely changing, and Jake is teaching Alex how to be insubordinate, but you and I aren't doing anything?" 

"Well... Arguably... I did change the punishment rule, involving the entire Pack."

"But is that enough?"

"No, of course not. But I... I guess I've had so much on my mind recently that I hadn't thought about it."

"Can we? Please?"

"Of course, Princess. Like what...?"

"I don't know... I'll think of something and then get back to you."

Jake and Alex were in the midst of a 'make-up cuddling session' when Todrick came upstairs to check on them.

Alex was half asleep on Jake's shoulder, Jake hugging him while they kept warm under the covers of the bed.

Todrick peeked his head into the room. "Jake?"

Jake turned his head to the door and smiled. "Hey."

Todrick nodded his chin at Alex. "Is he okay?"

"Yeah. He always gets really tired after he gets stressed out for too long."

"Believe me, I know. But I'm glad you guys made up. Dinner should be ready in a few. I'll come back and get you guys so he can sleep a little longer."
