*so I live in Florida and there was this hurricane yesterday that's called hurt in a Matthew, I am sorry to the people that are called Matthew, and so what happened was hurricane Matthew was supposed to be a stage 4 hurricane but what ended up happening was......*

Me: *is at school not learning about what I'm supposed to learn about*

5th Period Teacher: "there will be a hurricane that will hit Florida on Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday morning, school will be canceled bu-"

Class: "YASSSSS HORRAYYYY WOOOOOO NO SCHOOL（〜^∇^)〜(ノ^o^)ノ┐(ﾟдﾟ┐)┗(＾0＾)┓ヘ(￣ω￣ヘ)└（★ｏ★）┐└｜゜ε゜｜┐(〜￣△￣)〜"

5th Period teacher: "as I was saying, the storm will be a category 4 so it will be strong, you guys will need to take shelter and stay safe"

*later that night-of the storm*

Me and my friends were all just texting in a group chat and they're just so over dramatic...

"IM NOT GONNA MAKE IT"

"WELP, MY HAIR WAS LOOKING GOOD TODAY"

"I hope you all stay safe"

And then there's me-"y'all do know that we're gonna be fine because there's literally no rain rn"

And everyone else: "PLEASE STAY SAFEಥ_ಥ"

*day of storm*

(By the way, that's my neighborhood)

-absolutely NO ONE texts-

To be honest, I imagined like cars breaking, roofs flying off, and trees breaking and stuff but nope, I don't even think its a category 4. Literally all that happened was it just rained and flooded.

*after the "storm" my friends texted me*

"I'm so disappointed rn"

"Man, I thought we were all gonna die"

"(ﾉ*ﾟｰﾟ)ﾉ"

"HA, HURRICANE MATTHEW WAS LIKE, 'HIGH FIVE FLORIDA'-'YEET'"

"Everyone was freaking out for no reason"

*and yeah, that happened like yesterday, the day I'm writing this is Friday, I am disappointed in the storm though, like I didn't wanna fie but I expected more rain, more wind, and more action-oh well*
